Global tech outage hits airlines and businesses

All flights from several major US airlines, including Delta, United and American Airlines, were grounded Friday morning due to a communication issue – part of a massive debacle impacting businesses worldwide. The technical crisis is also affecting international airlines as well as mass transit in New York and Washington, DC; banking in Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and elsewhere, Hong Kong Disneyland and the Israeli health service. #CNN #news

  1. Yesterday we went to Germany for 150 euros cheaper tobacco per 10 packs of rolling tobacco, and wow, first the train was late to Oberhausen, and when we went back to Arnhemm the train stopped at emmerich and we had to wait 2 hours for the next train due to a malfunction, but the conductor said take the bus to Nijmegen, bus there to Nijmegen that let us walk to the train station because Nijmegen center was closed for transport, we did get home and I earned 320 euros on tobacco minus 70 euros travel costs, so earned 250 euros lol and it was with alcohol… next time I will take more alcohol because the last 4 hours were without alcohol… laugh but young NS made it worse, I looked at NS International where you could buy train tickets back and forth to Oberhausen and back to Arnhem well, they now say you can only buy at the train station lol, at least I can see what time the trains leave dude… w8 just 1 month and I'm going to call NS that this is not possible lol.. or is AIVD dutch secret service that fast to stap go and back easily to oberhausen in germany for tobacco, because the man who was so stressed asked me if this the bus to Nijmegen was and said yes and he said why do you take these trains to Oberhausen I accidentally said for tobacco I earned 200+ euros… lol I should have kept my mouth shut I think but I can always arrange a car I think, only people want not because most people here have stopped smoking… but if I say 50 euros above the petrol costs I pay they might agree… and they can fill up with cheap

  2. When all in In the Cloud (SaaS), what happens when the Cloud is not there? I keep raising this for many years. Like during COVID, we look for the lowest price and highest efficiencies but have no real concern about resilience. Who pays the price for all damaged caused to millions of customers in many industries?

    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    Rom 6:23
    For the wages of sin is death;

    Psalms 9:17
    The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

    Acts 8:37
    And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

    Rom 10:9
    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    Corinthians 15:3-4
    For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    Ephesians 2:8-9
    For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

  4. What they need is a "revert" option which can be run to avoid this issue. It would also help if they went back to letting YOU decide when to accept and run an "update" instead of sneaking it in unannounced and unable to stop it. I use Linux versions OS since 2013, so not affected by this problem, but my wife's work for state govt was, but I remember previous Windows OS, YOU could decide when to run the update, and I always waited to see if others had a problem with such. On my Linux OS, NOTHING happens till I approve it.

  5. So will all businesses who lost revenue or profit during this outage be compensated? It seems very irresponsible to install an update that was not tested first on a smaller scale. This is ridiculous and many companies and banks and people lost out on money. This has even affected the medical and pharmaceutical industry. They need to be shut down after everyone is compensated. This affected MILLIONS of people. You cant jyst say sorry and write this off,heads need to roll.

  6. Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, alcoholism, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

  7. CrowdStrike is something like anti virus software. If you use it for your laptop, the chances of getting struck by virus is much much higher than never use it at all. I learnt this hard lesson over two decades ago when I first bought my laptop. And I also bought the anti virus software. And sure enough I got hit by a virus after a few months. Then my computer expert friend advised me not to use it anymore after I got my laptop repaired. And sure enough again, nothing happened till today even though I had changed & used 4 different brands of laptops.
    NB: Now I only use smartphone.
