In tonight’s top story: People who survived the powerful earthquakes in Turkey are struggling to stay warm without proper shelter, as relief has been slow to trickle into the hardest hit areas. Jackson Proskow reports from Pazarcık, Turkey where rescuers are finding more survivors, but hope is fading.

Following the earthquakes, delivering relief supplies to displaced Syrians has become extremely difficult due to multiple factors. Ross Lord explains what aid agencies have to do, what people in the country are enduring now and how Syrian refugees in Canada are feeling.

Tributes are pouring in for the children killed after a bus crashed into a daycare in Laval, Que., as questions remain about the driver. Touria Izri reports on the scrutiny the accused’s mental health is under and the story of one rescuer who pulled some children to safety.

Plus, Global News has obtained the audio of a 911 call from Skye Sanderson, the widow of Damien Sanderson. He was initially considered a suspect in the deadly Saskatchewan stabbing rampage of September 2022. Nathaniel Dove explains how the call sheds new light on the case.

  2. My heart goes out to all those who suffered with the catastrophe in Turkey, but this is all the media will talk about for the past week. What about Ukraine? What about what happened in Davos? What's happening in parliament right now? Nothing is being covered. It's just Turkey Turkey Turkey. It's a distraction from everything else going on.
