  1. The double rebirth isn't a new concept but you usually see it with sisters when deciding their husbands…in this case its a crown prince and princess…the prince really should have picked up on the rebirth of the princess when she changed her tune 180 degrees right at the start from stopping him to wishing him a happy marriage but I guess with his ego he probably thought that he was a chosen one and special so the possibility never crossed his mind…the show was an entertaining watch with a satisfying ending.

  2. You don't discuss with idiots… You do what's right in the situation. In these movies there is endless talking, babbling and that is very exhausting
And YES; I know: reading-the-script-aloud is the cheapest version of a movie.

  3. I've seen a few of this plot where the husband resents the wife for killing his lover (even though they never did) and the wife had been helping him rise in his career behind the scenes. Reborn the wife doesn't stop him from being with the lover and he finds out how scheming the lover is. I think this is the first time I've seen it set as a costume drama… I wanna say second but not sure.

  4. That gold mask on Mr Mu looks stupid AF. Lol. It's annoying to see on his face. Also, the FL is so thin, she looks like she is one step away from death's door. Please eat something, that poor thing. She looks hungry. 😮

  5. Plot and dialogue were so paper thin i could have made wonton wrappers. I really didn't care for all the contrived twists and though the ml was a bit of eye candy, the fl left me yawning. There was really very little in way of chemistry and the villainous greedy snake woman got off lightly by being stabbed. The end! 🥱🥱🥱

  6. Interesting even though a bit slow.. Chu Wanning so pretty.. The prince so handsome except that 'prince'… I wonder if the actor is from director's family or friends.. Why he the only one don't have decent face…

  7. This is a nice “Reborn/Revenge-plot”-story with decent actors and a storyline with more than one reborn character. It did have a tendency to become a “bla bla bla” at times and felt too long but the storyline as a whole was interesting and FL’s rebirth was used wisely. I liked this strong/smart/cunning FL and calm/nice ML. Despite the low-budget feel and excessive talking, this is a nice watch.

    SYNOPSIS – SPOILER ALERT!!!

FL was killed by her husband, the Emperor (2ML), who thinks she 3 years earlier deliberately prevented him from saving the woman he loved. Before killing her, he tells her that in order to restrain her General’s family, he poisoned her brother whom she thought was killed on the battlefield, fighting for the country and eventually for the Emperor to ascend the throne. And then he kills her parents in front of her. FL dies regretting supporting the wrong person.

Luckily FL is reborn 3 years earlier, in the midst of the situation that initiated all the problems that followed. This time, FL doesn’t stop him, the Crown Prince (2ML) at that time, from entering the Forbidden Forest since that was the time where he believed she caused his favorite woman to die – when in fact she took the Fake Death drug herself.

From his reactions, FL soon realizes that the Crown Prince is also reborn. So, FL plays along and agrees to break off their engagement if the Emperor is willing to change the decree, letting him marry the woman he loves and, hopefully, saving herself and her family.

But when FL overhears the fact that a Gu insect ( a Love bug) has been inserted into the Crown Prince’s body, she realizes that there is a great conspiracy going on, leading him to be controlled by her in order for her to become the Queen. But she also realizes that she and her family will never be left in peace by this vicious woman and the Crown prince, so they have to fight to the end to survive. Fortunately, a mysterious and masked young master (ML) decides to lend a hand.

Well, this has a happy ending.

  8. After reading all the funny comments, I just had to watch this. The male lead, with his bulging eyes, looks like he's always caught in the headlights! An entertaining watch, even if the plot line is predictable.

  9. I wanted to like this but the cast was very unbalanced. The best actor was the reborn Sheng Jingrui. He put himself all in. He is not the most handsome actor, but I respect his skill. I am not a doctor, but as someone with thyroid disease, I see stuff that makes me wonder–has anyone checked his thyroid level? I worry about his eyes showing possible signs of Graves' ophthalmopathy.

The FL just seems to wear her parts, not give herself to them; with her small handful of expressions, I never believe her, and find her quite annoying. Also–and this is likely due to increasingly disliking her as an actress–I do not find her attractive enough to be a lead.

SFL did a good job but she was really working against the tide with the FL not giving much to the scenes.

Mo/the "sick" Prince was quiet and sort of listless, but he really didn't have a good co-actress so I feel like his smaller role was hampered by that.

I liked the head Eunuch. I wasn't sure until the prayer blessing thing what side he was on. Even though he had a small part, I kinda just liked him as an actor.

Some of the costumes were fabulous, such rich materials and colours.

Makeup was pretty good with exceptions; the makeup on the emperor in his final scene was super believable!

Hair was quite good except for FL. What was the goal there, because she looked like the Bride of Frankenstein's Monster?

I'd watch this script again with a different FL, and a more balanced rest of the cast.
