Gigantic Railroad Trestle In 2 States! 3 Trains Cross Railroad Bridge From Ohio Into West Virginia!

Have You Ever Seen A Railroad Bridge This Big? 3 Norfolk Southern Trains Cross The Huge Railroad Bridge That Goes Over The City From Ohio Into West Virginia. These trains are in Kenova, West Virginia. This railroad bridge is in the middle of the street. CSX tracks go under it at one end and Norfolk Southern tracks go under it in the middle. It crosses the Ohio River also. I rode here with Scott @1960gambit during one of the last warm days.
The first train has 3 locomotives pulling a heavy manifest that includes two railcars that are used to carry track panel sections. They are very unusual orange cars. The second train was filmed on the other side of the bridge. It has 3 locomotives pulling a long manifest into Ohio and includes a BNSF locomotive. The third train has 3 locomotives pulling a manifest from West Virginia into Ohio. This train blows its horn on the bridge for track workers who are on the Ohio side of the river.
Notice at the very end I show a Scale Car that I filmed in South Charleston, West Virginia. This car is used by an industrial railroad that has a connection with the CSX. It has a small railroad switcher coupled to it and it obviously is only used on the customers private tracks. I thought that was pretty cool looking. I have seen a couple of scale test cars on CSX but they looked a lot different. What do you think about this car? Please leave any comment that you want about this video. Thanks for your support!

Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.

  1. NORAC Rule 19d:Approaching roadway workers or their equipment on or near the track, regardless of any whistle prohibitions. After this initial warning, sound two whistle signals intermittently until the head end of train has passed roadway workers or their equipment. The initial signal is one long, one short, —- o.

  3. Great video Jaw Tooth! That's an impressive trestle to say the least. You had just about every kind of Train car on that one. Everything but the kitchen sink, but I'm sure there were a few of those too in one of those box cars! Kenora looks like a beautiful place. I hope to go there someday!

  5. Funny: the show of respect at 5:37 on that "SESH" car that either UP had chosen not to removed the graffiti but to place the logo sticker over it, OR the graffiti artist worked around the UP logo sticker!! πŸ™‚

  6. Thank you for going to Kenova, West Virginia again to record trains going over the Norfolk Southern bridge between Kenova, West Virginia and South Point, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! I enjoyed watching this video. That scale test car that appears at 17:49 is the first time I have ever seen an old tank car used for that purpose.

  7. In your stills you show yourself with an electric guitar. Do you play, a fan, or ? May I recommend a great book on the development of the electric guitar. It is "THE BIRTH OF LOUD" authored by Ian S Port (Also the rivalry between Leo Fender and Les Paul who partnered with Gibson). Greatly enjoy your videos of the trains and also like the Cat, Dog, Duck, Horse et al. That is quite the trestle, did you get a length on it? Keep up the great videos.

  8. That is one impressive bridge I must say. Love seeing big trains cross over her there in Kenova. I wonder if any other people come to see it and watch trains cross it. Well done JT. Thanks.πŸ‘πŸΌπŸš‚πŸ€©

  9. I got 96 cars on that first train. I've never seen those weird white open cars before, nor have I seen the track panel cars. But I don't know what track panels are anyway. Only 78 cars on the next train. 58 on the next train. Wow, that's all? Huh.
