  1. Absolutely, different strokes… & it’s hard not to mirror what works for us. Some people never “get” that what works for them may not work for others.
Thanks for the video & all you share. You’re talented & surely appreciated!!
Most importantly, glad Jerry’s on the mend!!

  2. I liked the tortoises from the moment you quilted them. You made a few videos then , showing a.o. how you cut the coral and had to lay it very carefully. I found it fascinating watching you work . Did you embroider the earrings you are wearing? With blood pressure and certain substances like kalium and natrium in the body/blood, it is sometimes difficult to find the right balance and the body has indeed to adapt to new medicines. Good luck with the last (hopefully) repairs to the coach. That too will help Jerry relax.

  3. I agree with what you said. I love to give to people, and I have a good friend who doesn't want anything because she doesn't want to feel like she has to get me a gift. Actually have a few relatives like that too ….. I give because I want to, not because I expect something in return – but people are funny about it. Your videos are a joy to so many people – a bright spot in our busy lives.

  4. Hey Miss Joy, I would rather give gifts than receive. But, I try to be very gracious and thankful to the person that thought to give me a gift. As you said, not everyone is like that. Praying for good weather and safe travels back to the RV place. Take care and God bless y’all. 😀❤️

  5. Your not 72! No way! If you are, you have really blown my mind! You are so sweet and so beautiful! I feel like you are my friend, I just love watching you. You remind me of my favorite Aunt Bea. And she just loved to give gifts. I have never met anyone else like her until you. You don't know how special you are! I also have the same problem with my one and only daughter, and 3 grandchildren. So I know how much it hurts, and the many, many tears you have cried! God bless you and Jerry. You are in my prayers. Thank you so much for all the happiness you give, and sharing your sewing talents! Every day you make me feel happy, and you bring joy to many, many lives! Your mother named you right, you are a 😂 Joy! Love you

  6. Glad to hear your husband is coming along. It does take a while for the medication to take affect. I'm thinking about purchasing an embroidery machine. Can you recommend a machine and brand for a beginner? Pittsburgh, PA

  8. Joy…I so enjoy your videos. I learn things from you all the time. You are such a great teacher. Also enjoy your ventures with your RV.
Makes me laugh cause of the problems you run into. So sorry you have to deal with that trailer place but this is what happens. I am a gift giver too makes me happy to do it. Since I have retired been doing alot of sewing. I sell some things, give to my veterinarian, give to the people at the library and to my friends. To see that I put a smile on someone's face makes me very happy. Keep up the videos I so enjoy them.

  9. Joy giving is a thrill. This Christmas I gave my daughter the money to pay her attorney fees. She was sooo happy, she beamed because it gave her relief. That made me so happy to give her that relief.

  11. I really enjoyed your video. If you make the "Anytime Topper", please show it on the channel. I recently bought the pattern and would like to know what you think about. I haven't made it yet as I need to get some drapey-type fabric. A rayon batik would be really pretty.

  12. Hi Joy, love your videos, you are my absolute favourite person! I sew clothes and quilts too, today I love your top and particularly your MSQ quilt. I am going to buy the Jalie top pattern, even though, sadly, it's very expensive as I live in England. Hopefully will be worth it, though! Anyway, please keep making your fun videos, so enjoyable!

  13. You are amazing so talented. I can not imagine why your family is not your friend! They will be very sad and heart broken one day and not be able to rewind time. Thanks for sharing your experience and wisdom with us. Happy New a year to you and Jerry. 😊

  14. Happy new year, dear. You are such a gift to so many people, especially me. What is the spool holder you have? It is so wonderful. My father had several large motor homes. He offered us the last one before he died. My husband knew how much maintenance was involved with them and said no, thank you. My father ended up selling it. I know they are fun, but they can bo a nightmare to take care of.

  15. When you showed the Serger for your giveaway, you inspired me. I see that older Serger's can work great and it is so helpful to see how you thread it! I am fearful about my ability to learn how to use one. However, I want to try now, to do it. Do you have any advice for me, I have to buy a used one. I want to trust that I will be able to buy one on Facebook Market Place, even though I don't know how to use it. I don't know exactly what to look for and I want to choose correctly. Thanks, Joy, it was so fun hearing about your quilts and patterns. I always enjoy it when you change a pattern to make it your own. God Bless you both

  16. Hi Joy. Yes, I was one of those who asked if you would be so kind as to let us know what patterns you are wearing in your videos. THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!!!! I have now ordered the Jalie raglan sleeve top pattern and can't wait to make it. It's always so nice to see a really nice top or dress being worn by the person who made it, so I hope and pray that you take our asking for your blouse pattern info as a sincere form of flattery because that is exactly what they are! Love your channel! Your videos are such a hoot! Will continue to pray for both you and your husband health. Hugs to you! 🤗🥰
