You are going to lose your mind when you find out what Stan's up to
I can see why going into Stan's mind would be scary for them
The part where they see Stan in a Colombian jail is a call back to the hand that rocks the Mabel where he seys he went to jail there once

The episode fans have been waiting for and the debut of the one-eyed Dorito shaped Demon himself, Bill Cipher voiced by Alex Hirsch (Grunkle Stan, Soos, McGucket, etc.). I'm really impressed with Alex Hirsch vocal range and the characters he voiced throughout Gravity Falls and how different the voices he used on Grunkle Stan, Soos, McGucket and now Bill Cipher sound different from each other.
But Bill Cipher aside, I also love how it gave development to Dipper who didn't like how Grunkle Stan gave him "tough love" on doing the chores throughout the shack while at the same time when he's in Stan's mind he misinterpreted Stan's conversation with Soos on hating Dipper and "wanting to get rid of him" until he relistens to the conversation again and learns that Stan is only hard on Dipper to prepare him to face the world and gives Dipper the moment to start appreciating Grunkle Stan even if Stan can be hard on him and be a greedy swindler.
Also, the phrase Gideon said when summoning Bill Cipher is "Backwards Message" but in reverse.
Interestingly, Alex Hirsch wasn’t the first pick to voice Bill Cipher as he attempted to reach out to David Lynch from Twin Peaks (as Alex is a fan of the show) to voice Bill Cipher, but David turned the role down so in turn Alex does the voice for Bill Cipher in a bad David Lynch Impersonation.

The reason Gideon only needed the deed, was because Quentin Trembley (the president who discovered Gravity Falls) wrote a law for Gravity Falls, called “Finders keepers.”

Are you planning on watching the shorts (specifically Dipper's)? They take place between the seasons, but can still be watched after watching the series.
The second season seemed to me more interesting in terms of the scope of events. I won't mention what's in it.

Bill Cyphers' introduction in Dreamscaperers is one of the best intros to a villain I've ever seen. You look at him and think 'he doesn't look that threatening' but then he comes into fruition and are like 'Never mind. He's horrifying'. Love going into Stanford's mind too. The season finale is also great. Finally Gideon got what he deserved! That cliffhanger though…

Also, all the stuff about Gideon possessing the deed by just taking it is actually due to a Finder-Keepers law that president dude made when he founded gravity falls, a lot of people forget that, even i did
I have a movie request:

I've driven standard and I still have trauma. I can but I'd prefer not to.
There are some interesting facts to this episode but I can't really say them as they'll be spoilers for the second season, but when that time comes they can be revealed. But here are some interesting stuff. Also I would consider watching the Gravity falls shorts as those add interesting contexts to the story.
Dreamscapers: Originally Bill was supposed to enter all of the characters mind, but that would have taken too long so they only limited it to Stan's.
The words that Gideon says to summon Bill is in Latin. Translating it says: "Triangle — I invoke you. I come to the defensive barrier of the mind. I will see the barrier destroyed."
Gideon Rises: This is the first time blood is shows, Dipper's nosebleed.
Also here's a piece of info that not many people know about. Originally Alex Hirsh was going to end the series after one season because he was suffering from burnout. I guess trying to keep so many continuities in order while writing the story caused it. So in a way Gideon rises was going to be the series finale. Yet he was convinced to do a second season.
You're lucky you're watching it now. I watched it on cable, the first season aired regularly. But the second season suffered from a troubled production & released periodically & took years! Can't wait seeing your reaction to the Centaurtaur.
P. S. Steven Universe also suffered the same problem but you don't need to watch it. It's kinda boring with too much melodramatic slice of life stories.

I can't believe it’s been almost a decade since the Season 1 finale.
The finale for Season 1, "Gideon Rises" was quite the game changer, cause not only did Dipper, Mabel and Grunkle Stan not only stopped Gideon from tearing down the Mystery Shack and exposing him as a fraud causing Gideon to be arrested, but finally Grunkle Stan now has all three Mystery journals as he prepares to open the portal.
Looking forward to your reactions to Season 2.
7:00 – 7:10 I'm very upset with Soos for that one. He didn't even care what Stan was hiding in the basement and he just slammed the door like that. I've seen other reactors watching this, ItsTotallyCody and Crew Blind Wave, and you know what they said?

11:05 You saw that circle around Bill before he disappeared?
It's called a Zodiac. Bill called Dipper "Pine Tree" (because of his blue and White Pine tree hat), Mabel "Shooting Star" (because of the first and signature sweater she wears) and Soos "Question Mark" (because of his shirt).
There's also the stitched heart who happens to be Robbie because of the Hoodie he always wears. Then, the Star with the eye, the Tent of Telepathy logo – Gideon and the fish representing Pac-Man – Stan. And the six-fingered hand on the 3 Journals – the Author. That's all I can say, 'cause I won't tell you what will happen when all 10 people representing these symbols join together.
SO ready for you to see Season 2. It’s 10x better

23:10 – 23:29 Stan's not really a bad guy. Sure he's committed lots of crimes, but that doesn't make him a villain. He's just a money-obsessed, loving Grunkle who just want to keep Dipper and Mabel safe. That machine he has isn't for a bad purpose. He's using it for a good purpose. You'll see as you continue season 2.
Speaking of season 2, you've gotta watch the final 5 episodes in one video, 'cause that's what ItsTotallyCody did. I loved it when he did that.
