Taking any non-marriage-candidate villager from no friendship to a full 10 hearts can be accomplished with one visit on the villager's birthday using an iridium quality loved gift + two stardrop teas. Yeah, the tea is not something one can accrue quickly or in bulk, but otoh board requests are not usually very difficult or tedious so a modest supply should be relatively attainable, and when it is used in this way it feels insanely powerful (eg. just met Leo yesterday ..ok now, today –we've got him moved in comfortably next to Linus).

I am glad I watched this video. I gave up on the requests from the raccoon when they wanted something I haven’t yet found, two game years ago. Guess I will go back and visit them and try again. I want those gifts! Thank you! ❤

Random bug/glitch I found for the smoked fish requirements it doesn't matter what fish you submit as long as it is smoked. I submitted a smoke crayfish instead of a smoked large mouth bass
It can be any dried fruit or any jelly, no matter what the tag says. I tested it 🙂

I wish it didn't take hardwood to fix the tree. I already need 100 to upgrade my house, 200 for the boat, and another 300 to finish off my mushroom log area 😛
Since they can give you an item you havent shipped yet, I wonder if that means you can technically farm radioactive bars from them

– Raccoon shop now includes a trade for mystery boxes and golden mystery boxes.
Actually, there is another way to get the Fairy Dust. You can trade with the book seller a Book of Stars for a Fairy Dust.
There is a cut scene too.
After all raccon family is complete.
But i keep helping them.
im not sure which number request it is but i turned in a bunch more after the seemingly last request and after a while i unlocked a secret cutscene and a trade of 20 gold mystery boxes for one magic rock candy and also a trade of 3 regular mystery boxes for 1 gold mystery box, just so that people know there is a reason to keep feeding the racoons
I wanted to add that if you're on the final week of the season, the items requested will match the next season. It's happened twice to me already

given my farm (mushroom/tree farm) and preferred way of playing, i really like the new ways to get mixed seed. honestly i wish there were more avenues to get clay, especially given that its farmable algorithm has been removed.
I was really hoping there was going to be 100 baby’s and they would fill all of the gated areas near all the big trees.
And if concernedape did that there would also be a hide and seek mini game where you need to find the raccoon baby’s around the valley for a small reward from the mama raccoon

The biggest point you missed, which got added in an update later, is that after the 6th quest you can purchase UNLIMITED magic rock candy for golden mystery boxes! This makes mining so much easier and viable. This is the real perk that you're after when completing the raccoon quests.
Absolutely worth it, although, I was stressed all the time thinking about the poor racoons being hungry or cold haha

I got the update a few days back but the cut scene is not working, it is an old run but some of the other achievements I could get them so I don't know what is the problem with this one. Any one with the same problem? Im playing on PS

My first quest from the racoon is fish smoke and 5 lobster
I wasn't aware of the "unshipped item" as a reward! So, hypothetically, you could just wait to complete the racoon quest until you only have one unshipped item? Could be a way to gain an ostritch egg if you're struggling to finish the island museum?

Huh… I- I've done several quests, and been told that the "raccoon shop" has updated, but I can't actually see or find the "updated shop" or expanded shop….
Man I saw this in another video and thought it was a mod at first but then realized it wasn't and had to look it up. As someone who hasn't played since a bit before 1.6 came out, this is really cool to discover all these new additions!
