  1. Nice job fish! In Hawaii we call them “Uku”. (Grey Snapper) Really good eating! In decades of fishing in Hawaii, I only caught one of them slow-trolling squid strips just a hundred yards off the beach on Lanai.

  2. You should try Niue mate, surrounded by reef,with massive crystal clear swimming holes,no sand,so 100% visibility. Lots of underwater caves to explore, and Giant Trevally to catch,as well as Uga (,Coconut Crab) to eat. NZ territory as well.

  3. Another excellent adventure, Ollie. If you are after something totally different, try Christmas Island. Pelagic fish like you wouldn't believe and huge coconut crabs. If you go in November, you'll witness the Red Crab migration, where millions of crabs head to the ocean to mate.
    Just a thought.
