Getting across the Mitchell River is not as easy as we thought | Part 2 (Ep. 10)

This is our second attempt at crossing the Mitchell River and boy does it take a turn for the worse.

If we can’t get across here we have to go all the way back East, to Cairns, to come all the way West again. Something like 1,500kms out of our way.

Can we get across?

Suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

  1. Very well done the recovery was was textbook. We where at the Dunbar crossing late aug 22 and it was closed then it is a series of nylon mats which were washed out with remaining ones covered by river sand crossing was possible but as we were on our way to cape thought it to risky, so we did the same as you. Travelling back towards the Dumbar road we found a side track down to the mitchell river and a magic camp on the sands next to the river stay three day's. Have a wonderful trip, it so good to watch without constant product placement.
