  1. This is one of my favorite games ever made, the world Jay Tholen has created with this, Slayers X, and the upcoming Dreamsettler just hits that nostalgia niche so hard.

I hope you enjoy it! You're about my age, so you should be just as familiar with this Era as I was lol

  2. FYI John, Slayers X is a game where Zane Rocks is the main character. I highly suggest you look it up and play it, it's hilarious and I think you might enjoy it.

  3. I ended up taking a 30min nap while listening to this and I woke up laughing because John was targeting the viruses and Sherri. I was rooting for John in my sleep and found amusement in him going after them. "Busted!!! Busted!" Made me laugh so hard, I woke up.

  4. Interesting to see how you navigate the game, similarly & differently to my playthrough simultaneously.

Only backseat comment I want to say, you should have helped that one guy's seafaring kickstarter.

  5. 48:30 Professor Helper almost claimed another victim 😂 love the videos John, and I've been enjoying this one too! I love the art design that went into this game, really hits old entertainment-education games with the tutorial and old internet sites

  6. In college we have a subject about Operating Systems, so we are installing a lot of these older systems, such as the very first few versions of windows, linux and others, so this game reminds me a lot about that.

  7. This is probably another "embark" situation, and John probably already figured this out, but extralegal is outside of legal. Like extrajudicial is when cops acts out of the scope of their duties.

  8. the soft "oh nooo" when you saw zane's page killed me. his self insert comic kind of reminds me of spike from BtVS lol. the actions in asterisks and the music autoplaying on the page…. ah, it really takes me back. the pokemon gazette story was really cute though, 'letters to the editor' aside haha. that's so much work to put in on a hobby as a kid. were the articles news about the pokemon games? in-universe pokemon articles?

  9. You pausing and tilting your head in thought before accepting that Todd didn't do enough on his drawing of gumshoe gooper to violate the content infringement was so funny LOL

  10. One of my favorite games right here. Hoping for John to let himself get immersed and dig as deep as he dares to go into Hypnospace's numerous webpages (there's A LOT).
Hoping he at least finds a few of the conspiracy pages lmfao. Lots of satanic panic.

  11. This is not at all what I thought it would be (in a good way!), and I'm enjoying it SO much, it's the best of what I liked about the Welcome to the Game, and it has a very fun look and design! Really enjoying John's reactions to the things in the game (reporting all the first-graders and cackling over it lmao), it's very silly and fun.
