Nice video! I've tried dozens of time to get through the first part, I always get to the little island with the rot meter below 80% but unlike you it just keeps going up and not down. Know why?
What's funny is that the 2 bosses inside there are far easier than the actual level itself. I was forced to go into a tangent and retrieve the "fire cleans me" faith ability that requires only 12 faith, so I put 2 points.
It completely removes poison and scarlet rot.
I ended up getting the incantation that cleanses Rot. Just for this damn cave = Samurai

just get the – FLAME, CLEANSE ME – incantation, Held by one of the corpses at the Fire Monk camp , it makes it easy , it wipes poison and Rot
