  15. The market at the Cathredal is named the "international" market, cause you can eat and find things and food from around the world.You pronounce of german is great! I think you are german or you learned it very well! The "Schokoladenbahn" drives the hole year between the Zoo and the Cathedral terasse and or the Schokoladenmuseum. The Ferris wheel stays the half of the year at the Zoo or at the Schokoladenmuseum. The angels on the market are guides to help you for anything. The sixth market is a satlitemarket of the big one.
    You say that the Heinzel Market was your favorit, on this market the most shops have handcrafted things. At the side of the Dom their is a fountain with this theme! The fairy tale of it:

    Die Heinzelmännchen von Köln/ The Heinzelmännchen/Gnoms of Cologne

    Many years ago, it is said, there was a small folk in Cologne, also known as „Heinzelmännchen“. This very special kind of household spirits did the leftover work of the people. Secretly at night, when everyone was asleep, they did their work because they wanted to remain anonymous. The citizens gratefully accepted this help. So their worries were forgotten and they could go to bed in the evening with peace of mind. One day, however, the tailor's wife played a devious trick on the elves in order to see the creatures, because their curiosity was great. Towards midnight, when the elves turned up to do their work, there was a loud bang and shouting in the tailor's shop. The tailor's wife had distributed peas on the stairs and now the Heinzelmännchen tumbled down the stairs one after the other and stayed at the foot of the stairs. Quite to the laughter of the woman, because she saw the little house spirits and fell into a sneering mockery. The Heinzelmännchen sadly made off into the dark night and disappeared forever. The next morning, when the citizens of Cologne woke up, the work that had been left was not done and from then on the people had to do their work alone again!
    At the Cathedral, downstairs at the „Früh Brauhaus“ is a big fountain with this theme! As a Cologne citizen it was fun to watch your tour about our Christmas Markets!

  27. as a german living in cologne it was so fun seeing the christmas markets through your eyes 😄 personally I'm not THAT much of a fan of the cologne markets because they are way too crowded but you make it seem so fun ♥ you need to visit some castle christmas markets in germany. they are always so beautiful!

  40. Can we talk about something? Wh all Americans and brits and all those who are not our neighbors only go to Cologne, Berlin, Leipzig and Hamburg? What is the fastination about those citys ? Berlin, cologne and Hamburg are germanys dumpster so why is out trash so atractive to you ? Why not come to seen our beuty like Freiburg im Breisgau, Konstanz, Friedrichshafen, Kiel, Ulm, Offenburg,Aschaffenburg and so many more. why always the big 4 ore the 4 Trashcans of germany ? Maby im stupid but as an insider i dont see the fastination about this? Why does it atract you like a magnet atracts a peace of metal
