Georgia man says his wife killed herself. Now, he's charged with murder

A Warner Robins man said his wife killed herself but police say the evidence didn’t back him up.

Brian McManus has been charged with Malice Murder. Detective Robert Clark said that McManus said his wife shot herself around 9 a.m. on Sunday while he was walking the dog.

Clark says 63-year-old Lucille McManus died from being hit in the head with a weapon.

He says the physical evidence, video and checking with Wake Forest Drive neighbors made officers question McManus’ story.

Now he is in the Houston County Jail and could soon face more charges in his wife’s death.

Anyone with information on the case can call detectives at 478-302-5380.
