Re the "horseshoe": It's obscured by the fact that the Democrats keep moving Right. Our political center is miscalibrated, so people get the wrong idea of what "Leftism" is. What people think of as Left is actually center, because that's where the Dems are. Unfortunately, when people then defend "the Left", they also defend the actual Left; i.e., Communism.
And that's where the horseshoe comes in. Communism is every bit as oppressive and antihuman as Fascism, but it gets to hide behind the "big tent" that the Dems have cultivated.

It was a Great documentary kudos to the creators, really didn't like some of the comedians that were on it to talk about George cuz they are everything that disgusted him about politics

They "re-educated" George Carlin into Mr. Conductor, it was sad to see.
8:00 Notice how the totalitarians are trying to make defenselessness "cool." Carlin himself was a big enough fan of the Bill of Rights where he didn't have any consistently anti-gun material. He even explicitly said "and I'm not against guns," (in the bit he did making fun of the NRA). He also stated his admiration for the Bill of Rights and the wonderful system we inherited…and then squandered…he said he was disappointed.
Carlin informed the politics of lots of people who started out stupid leftists, and then became consistent libertarians. He never became completely consistent himself, but he held himself to an initial high standard.
His effect on the culture (now an unphilosophical culture) is large. Because America is now drifting rudderless, Apatow and the other central bank servants are pushing to eliminate the last of the bill of rights. So they can turn you into a literal slave, and have their police kill you if you resist.

Except for the 7 words, George Carlin wasn't much of a trail blazer even for his time. In other words his opinions were safe enough and he knew the lines he couldn't cross.
If there was no interest on paying back the government then he probably wanted to give it back as slow as possible
