If you thought things couldn’t get any worse, Sam Winkler, Lead Narrative Director for Gearbox Software and Borderlands 3 Lead Writer publicly shows support for Ccrypto’s awful statement about women & children…but why wouldn’t he when the CEO of the Company Randy Pitchford has publicly done the SAME THINGS OVER THE YEARS…

Borderlands 2 is a 2012 first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. Taking place five years following the events of Borderlands (2009), the game is again set on the planet of Pandora. The story follows a new group of Vault Hunters who must ally with the Crimson Raiders, a resistance group made up of civilian survivors and guerrilla fighters, to defeat the tyrannical Handsome Jack before he can unlock the power of a new Vault. The game features the ability to explore the in-game world and complete main missions and optional side quests, either in offline splitscreen, single-player or online cooperative gameplay. Like its predecessor, the game features a procedurally generated loot system which is capable of generating numerous combinations of weapons and other gear.

With the unexpected success of the first game, Gearbox was able to secure a budget of $30–35 million to develop the sequel. Like its predecessor, the game adopted the “concept art style”, which features graphics inspired by both photorealistic imagery and comic-book-inspired visuals. The team attempted to address players’ feedback from the first game, and recruited Anthony Burch who wrote the game’s script which is seven times longer than that of the original game. Among the game’s diverse cast of characters, Handsome Jack, the central antagonist, was created to be a charismatic “douche” that mirrors Burch’s own personality. Borderlands 2 was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2012, and it was ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of The Handsome Collection in March 2015.

The game received universal acclaim upon release. Critics generally praised the game’s visuals, writing, gameplay, and online multiplayer, as well as its variety of guns, while criticising its mission design and content fillers. The handheld and the virtual reality versions of the game were regarded to be inferior to the console and PC versions. More than 20 million units were shipped upon release and the game became 2K’s most successful release. It was nominated for multiple year-end accolades by several gaming publications. Gearbox supported the game with four add-on campaigns, new characters and five content packs. The game was followed by Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in October 2014, and Borderlands 3 in September 2019. According to leaks in August 2023 Gearbox Software has officially begun development of Borderlands 4 on the Unreal Engine 4.

Borderlands 2 is the best game of all time, I have over 6000 hours in that game, but they fucked it up with bl3, and killershit is a useless bastard who is an absolute disgrace when it comes to Borderlands? I mean I have never seen him kill a raid boss in Borderlands 2 without using a glitch, he was a zero player but I never seen him beating pyro pete with zero, how does he have fans????

  22. The more that seems to come out about gearbox the more I just see that company as the core problem. I feel attacking creators who shill for gearbox is the correct first step but in the end I'd like to see all the people in gearbox that are the major players (including Randy) just pushed out. I've seen video game companies go through internal BS like this and although it doesn't appear to be a big deal, it shows when you start seeing their games coming out.

    Forget about gearbox being sold, that company ain't worth shit at this point. They need to just sell or give away the Borderlands IP and all its rights to a company that actually gives a fuck about the franchise.

  28. Little bit of a long one here, but hopefully not a too retarded take.

    I didn't start playing Borderlands, until just before TPS came out, playing BL1 solo, but fell in love with the series. Never knew much about the community on Youtube, just a small group of friends, and family who played.

    I wasn't able to get Borderlands 3, when it first came out, and so by the time I got around to playing it (I still haven't finished the whole thing), it wasn't broken, and I'd missed the drama.

    I ended up playing Tiny Tina's and started out very excited…. then watched as the longterm quality dropped right the fuck off… it really sucked, because I love RPG games, and Wonderlands could have been an absolutely perfect mash-up of RPG and Borderlands, it had tons of potential… then we got the "DLC" and a horrifyingly repetitive end game.

    Now, despite liking most of what I've seen in BL3, I am almost afraid to finish it, even tho I love the concept of the Vault Hunters featured. Fl4k and his pets are cool as shit, Zane's abilities seem super neat, and should be OP if used right, but I constantly hear him shit on, apparently because he got nerfed pretty hardcore; and Moze's ability is cool as hell. Not much of a siren player, throughout the series, in fact I have not played as one at all. 😅.
    Super worried I am going to be disappointed, if I continue with my main toon, a lvl 40 Fl4k, with a couple DLC beaten, and I think about halfway through the main game.

    I had no idea about this stuff going on behind the scenes until the last few months, and have to a agree that the sudden drop in quality in some aspects, and tone deaf "fixes", are probably from the community not being heard. Being drowned out by people with larger audiences, or people being afraid to criticize, because they will be shit on for having the audacity to not love any shit, shit upon their plate.

    Sadly, this seems to be happening in a lot of franchises. Game quality is going down, and groups of "apologists" band together to screech at people offering their criticisms, and telling them it's their fault for not just enjoying the game, when they are just trying to offer up what they would like to see in said games.

Like I don't think you realize the length people will go when you anger, prod, abuse and $hït on constantly will go to to "handle" you…. one day your going to have to deal with real life PHYSICAL consequences when one of these guys you been badgerin get a wild hair up they arse, find you in a real world location and absolutely ring your nugget in front of all your family and the world to see…. I don't want to see violence happened to anybody but I've been around the block long enough to know it's a real good chance this will be a probability of your future if you continue to push people…. Like you literally posted the same three video clips from this kid 38 times a piece to try to make people believe some abscondant collection of words spewed from an absent minded teenagers mouth is holy truth in concept and action…. If that's the game you want to play you should be prepared for all of these content creators that you have talked down on to collect all of the off putting, nasty, dirty, violent, racist, sexist, derogatory comments that you have spewed with no thought from your mouth over the past 11 or so years and share for all the world to see in retaliation. We live in a country with freedom of speech, just because somebody says something does not mean there is direct initiative or action present with it. You should also be aware that slander is an actual felony crime and you continue to freely offer the evidence of yourself committing said slander against all of these creators and developers from gearbox. I don't think you would want to catch the attention of some very rich people's attorneys, they would eat you for breakfast lunch and dinner. Just stop already dude….

On the internet people say really fucked up things daily, hell so do I, but I think ccrypto sucking up to one of the communities biggest bullies is FAR worse then a couple unfunny, edgy comments that hold little to no weight. Only because someone jokes about something, that doesn’t mean they condone the actions.

    I stand with you when you use genuine facts and evidence to destroy some of these frauds in the BL community but this video is just way too full of speculation and reaching for me to take it seriously.
