Great tip for the toolbox!!! Thanks Dan
Cool beans brother .
What brand of snaps do you recommend for replacements?
Nicely done on showing how to remove Snap's. Professionally done…

Ace tips to know
Good viddy on the removal. I'm sure the re-install viddy is coming soon. My grandfather once said, "Never watch something that you have to watch again to see the ending"
Besides that. I literally just installed a snap from jump street (this means there never was one) onto a cloth napkin. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy says the corporal! Good to Go!
SNAPPY, ehh?

Cool thanks for the info
Nice
Very helpful. Thank you.
It might be best not to drill towards your hand…
Cool, good to know. Also, Harbor Freight has inexpensive DIY Grommet Kits for Tarps or whatever- It's easy and fun to use.
Cool.
tip : sharp drill bits required.
Gear snaps are basically riveted in so same method as for removing rivets except I never thought of using pliers to keep them from rotating. May not be necessary with thick leather but I remember struggling with a soft fabric jacket… next time I know better than to swear it through.
Cool man
Sailrite is a great distributor for Dot snaps. Military grade for mss sleeping bags and such.
This method works great, I rebuilt two snowshoe bindings at of last season.
Thank you I got three to five things I gotta work on like that.
Love little tips like this, thanks.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Good intel!
Happy New Year to you and yours.
sometimes you can use end nippers to get under the top snap and cut it off and you can cut off the bottom on most of them with nippers too!!
So easy, you made it look like a snap!
