  1. 12:47 HC Guilds generally have proved ephemeral, sometimes collapsing overnight. Without Guild Banking and team runs of Dungeons etc (and many do not) they have little more than group chatting and some help/insurance for players that have to start again.

    I've belonged to 3 different now extinct HC Guilds since a couple of weeks after it started. Guildmasters and officers died and the guilds died as they chose only to start again 2 or 3 times and lacked persistence.

  2. you need to understand that Completly eradicate gold buying is pretty much an impossible task.. Not just for wow, but for every game.
    you can buy gold in EVERY game.
    The difference is the value that the "gold" has in each game.
    For example in FFXIV, Gil is useless… so buying it doesn't really mean much… you can still do it obviously, but it's useless so noone does it.
    In GW2 on the other hand, Gold has A LOT OF VALUE.
    In WoW it has.. mid value.. BUT the GDKP system Skyrockets the value of gold.

    The point is that banning GDKP is reasonable.. Banning gold buying is next to impossible.. is like asking Counter strike to ban cheaters..
    Or ask the goverment to ban pirate downloading sites.
    You ban 1, 10 more will rise.
    Hunting gold buyers is a lot harder than people think.. if blizzard ends up trying to fight gold buyers, a lot of innocent people will get fucked in the crossfire ( just like in every "war").. and the gold buyers will just bombard blizzard with thousand of petitions to disguise themselfs as "innocent" as well.
    It's losing fight for blizzard from the start.
    Blizzard choosing to fight gold buyers indirectly is easier, smarter and as it already showed, more effective.
