Gaza is a place of suffering and resilience, of despair and hope. In this short video, I recite a poem that expresses the emotions of the people living in Gaza, who face violence, oppression, and injustice every day.
Amidst Gaza’s strife, a symphony of sorrow,
Rubble and pain, where hope lies buried low.
Iron rain descends, a dance of death’s embrace,
Children’s laughter silenced, in this desolate space.
Mothers’ wails pierce the night’s despair,
Seeking solace, in love that will repair.
Oh, Gaza’s spirit, though battered and worn,
A flicker of hope, a dawn’s new born.
Amidst the darkness, a beacon shines so bright,
A yearning for peace, in the darkest night.
We dream of a day, when bombs no longer fall,
When laughter echoes, with hearts that stand tall.
May peace descend, like gentle rain,
Washing away the scars of pain.
In Gaza’s land, let harmony bloom,
A symphony of peace, dispelling the gloom.
