Something is still eating plants from out of the greenhouse, but thankfully all is not lost! The tromboncino are still going strong after a string of freezes thanks to the greenhouse, and Mars the livestock guardian dog has made a new friend!!

When I tell you I just rolled out of bed, that's EXACTLY what happened. Hence, the hair. 🤣❤️
Awe, he wanted turtle soup!
I loved this! It was so frosty here I was spinning out in my driveway this morning. We need gravel soon before winter 😅 loved your video! ❤
What a good dog! LOL Our dog is older and was barking for hours. Problem is, she wasn't barking at anything because she is deaf and the other two dogs were doing nothing but wondering why the dog was barking. Your garden looks so good and BOOO to the animal eating your seedlings!
Good morning Heather. Catch those critters.
LOL.. I'm listening while doing morning chores and my Anatolian herd guard is alerted 📢 by your dog alarm. She is running around barking and looking for the trespasser.
I love you raised beds. We have swarm termites here in Texas and any wood we put on the ground doesn't last very long.
That really is odd to see the plants broken but not eaten. Could it have been a taste test that didn't suit the critter? Very strange, wish you had a camera out there to spy on the little vandals!!!
Your squash is looking great and I'm excited to see what you make with it in the kitchen. That is a totally new variety to me. My grandparents frequently grew cushaw and some of those grew to a massive size. I think my grandma would have enjoyed growing the tromboncino squash.
Good work Mars at guarding your homestead!!!🎖🏆
Thanks for sharing your homestead with us! Stay safe!!
(Terry)Never seen a squash like that. Can you fry them.
How about voles under the ground with the cut off plants?
That looks like cut worm damage on the seedlings. Maybe some BT would help.
Wow that was right on time for your zone right? I'm not looking forward to our first freeze, it should be coming very soon though… in the meantime I'm inside painting my kitchen cabinets and changing the countertops, because heavens know I can't live my life without a big project over my shoulders AND I need the inside of our trailer to look a certain way if I'm going to be inside most of the rainy days!
Also making room for the occasional birth on a super cold night too and the kitchen guests =P
Your green house looks amazing! Critters are the worst though, the slugs are back here with a fury!
could it be a rodent that is doing that? IDK really what else can be?
I have 2 hotbeds with fall crops I'm waiting for the first frost to "put to bed" I personally really enjoy the fall and winter away from the garden ( other than amending and mulching) I feel like I need to finish preserving, make cheese, sew, knit, anything I don't have the time to do in the summer.
I've been making these cute covers for my appliances, to keep them oil and dust free in the kitchen, made curtains for my bathroom cabinet, reorganized my drawers, washed the windows lol…. ANYTHING but the garden!
I feel like the garden takes away so much time in the spring and summer, then preserving that I feel like the cooler weather gives me something different to do, but again I'm kind of a weirdo, so it makes sense that I do different things in different seasons.
This winter with the internet and power, it will be interesting to see if I'm as productive!
BUT I LOVE seeing your continuous harvest, maybe one day when I run out of projects… HA! Who am I kidding? =P
Thanks for sharing with us!
Cut worms.
Levi was ready 😂 those squash are so impressive!
