Gardening for Beginners to Be Successful in Your Garden Growing Tomatoes & Vegetables for First Time

How to grow a tomato right to grow tons. First podcast format on my thoughts on how a beginner should think and approach their first attempt at gardening.

  1. 👏👏👏 Great broadcast ❣️ So useful informative video Robbie ❣️
I'm a beginner in gardening and you making it easier and enjoyable 🤗 No one believes that I grow all these veggies in totes and pots on my balconies 😊
I still have cherry tomatoes in my refrigerator from last summer that I use when I'm cooking. I even have kale, spinach and Swiss chard from last year's that I've chopped them and put them in the refrigerator and use them in soups and omelettes 😊
I didn't know that the tomato plants don't need large containers! This is so useful for me that I don't have the space! And yes I follow you in growing cherry tomatoes. I do grow 2 big tomatoes also but all my other tomatoes are cheery. Cause I will refrigerate them again for next winter.
You are so right about entertainment videos on you tube that showing funny ways of growing plants ( I say now they are funny cause in the beginning I've tried to grow some their way but nothing grew up 😂 ).
I would like to hear a broadcast for every plant cause your experience helps me understanding of the nature and that is the most important for helping my plants to grow really organically!!! I would also like to hear you about the soils. And the importance of growing our food in our health and wellness 🤗

Thank you soooo much Robbie for the informative broadcast ❣️🌟🌻

  2. Question is it true that Davids Bridle shops are going out of business because you promoted Tulle so much that they couldn't find enough so Brides everywhere are having to use Agfabric for their veils? 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🙃🙃🙃

  3. Thank you for this helpful video and the encouragement it gives! If you're looking for ideas of questions to answer, would you please cover principles of fertilizing? For example, I tried growing sweet potatoes last year, and kept adding kitchen scraps to the tote. I ended up with beautiful vines, and very small potatoes. I'm in Iowa, zone 5. Thanks again!

  4. I love watching your Chanel. I would love it more if I sometimes knew more of "why" you do things the way you do. Why do you prune tomatoes different ways? Why do you put shredded paper and toilet paper rolls in the totes? There are times I have messed up because I didn't know the "whys".

  5. Good advice especially on the tomato growing for first timers. This is my first season back to growing after years of illness so I'm excited…but I have to be careful not to expect the "perfect" looking garden. My advice to first timers is to decide on what they would enjoy eating, make sure their zone is appropriate to grow it & not to neglect nutrition. Your tulle ideas were the first great suggestion I used to protect my lovely plants from grasshoppers who can destroy all my hard work in one night! btw I agree with you on the cloth pots that was my experience as well but there is a channel Plant Abundance youtube who has a layout on using 40 gallon grow bags inside of kiddie pools that reminded me of Gary's garden only this fellow setup timer watering from a large rainwater catchment. I might try one this season and see how it does. It might work great for vacation when I won't be around to water…but the growbags in my climate are destroyed after 3 yrs or at least they rip when you try to move them…but having them in a pool to move might help. 😉 anyways thanks for the chat!

  6. Your message for new gardeners is right on target. Gardening is the opposite of "instant" (prepackaged) everything. We have to learn to enjoy the process, work with nature instead of against it, and be patient. Gardens can rarely be hurried along! But they are oh so rewarding. All good lessons.

  7. Robbie Please speak about praying mantis and how they hide and prey on hummingbirds.
Perhaps you have in the past and I have t seen it, but I think it’s worth doing or re-doing. Thanks for all your videos!!❤

  8. ❤LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤ this Robbie!!! THANK YOU! I always listen to your videos to and from work every day (sometimes over and over multiple times) and I'm definitely sharing this one with my daughter! She just got her raised beds in place and she's eager to learn…I'm going to introduce her to the Robbie and Gary way of gardening! Please do more of these kinds of "let's sit down and chat" videos! Love ya, Robbie!!

  9. Another question, what do you provide for melons' tendrils to wrap around?
I made a hemp net for the smaller tote but want to do something more economical for the 30 gallon tote.
I'm feeling intimidated by growing Mellon's.
