Ruins and visibility, how would you define ‘behind ruins’? The section mentioned within and wholly within. I understood it as you would still need LOS to the base unless you’re a vehicle?
man, i dont intend to sound rude here, so forgive me if i come across that way.
but this channel's opinion of tyranids will forever confuse the hell out of me. back when they were at 42% winrate and had 1 event win in 6 months, they went on and on about how theyre a-tier, have so many good units and undercosted units (i swear a unit of gargoyles could cost 200 points and theyd still say theyre undercosted and the best battleline unit in the game) and so on.
now, even after all the buffs, nids are sitting at 48%, 1 event win in 5 weeks, and are at a solid 16/26 faction placement. not even in the top 50% of armies, and theyre till complaining about our lone ops? Well, they must not be that good or we'd be higher in the rankings. Deathleaper's abilities are 6 inches; if you're utilizing the abilities, he's extremely vulnerable to just being shot or charged. he cant have enhancements and you cant take more than one. honestly, in most of my games, his abilities never matter, or i get 1 turn of a -1 to ldr or early BS test before he's killed.
lictor doesnt have an invuln, so anything other than the worst chaff units can just get within 12 or charge him and he's dead. nobody was taking him at 60 or 65 points. he's only now FINALLY showing up in lists at 55 points, and even then a lot of lists dont take him.
neurolictors are our best unit, true, but it's because they based our army rule of the uselessness that is battleshock. without at least 2 of them, battleshock might as well not even matter for nids. they already went from 65-90 points since they came out. the last thing the less than average army needs is to lose the only 2 units that give us some tiny fraction of reliable battleshock to points increases.
it just seems this channel always thinks nids are top tier with top tier datasheets, and wants the few good datasheets we have that are propping up our average winrate to get nerfed into points oblivion. it's just weird.
For Adeptus Custodes in the Auric Champions detachment Stratagem "Slayer of Champions", did they just forget to change the wording from Custodes Character Model to Custodes Character Unit?
Lord of deceit does indeed still only work on enemy units. It says specifically when your opponent uses a stratagem that targets a unit in THEIR army, so the enemy unit that is targeted needs to be with 12, you can’t benefit from it just because the stratagem also targets a unit in your army that is within 12, has to be the enemy target within 12. So it’s only for cp reduction beneficial ones I think, even the lion stratagem ability only works when an enemy unit is targeted so it’s only relevant to rites of war stuff I believe.
Lord invocatus ability has you select 2 units within 6" to gain scout could I select zerks in a rhino with that new change as technically they're not on the board if they're embarked?
I feel the salt at Burden of Trust. I played this mission for the first time (twice) last weekend and it took me a solid 5 minutes to understand what was going on.
Hey team, great content. Do you think GW biting the bullet and giving every model a proper base, then abstract los and movement to the base would stop all this fiddly nonsense with pivots and rules updates? Stop a bunch of arguments too I bet. And GW would get much cooler looking models and games, with all the cool looking bases and models facing off, which is their interests
I think that the guarding mission is balanced because it actually incentivizes someone to go first, go get on objectives, and then their opponent has a target-rich environment on bottom of round 1. The rest of the missions heavily advantage whoever goes second, so it mixes things up a bit. Like if you go second, just kill the guarding unit on bottom of 5… Or don't, which means your opponent may deserve to win anyway. Not perfect, but neat.
I genuinely wish they'd just remove pivot. I really do not believe it has provided anything of true value to the game. Doesn't need to exist, and it just causes problems. There's no baby with this bath water.
GSC had this since the Codex – they were ALWAYS in Reserves from the Codex Release, so this is just clarification to ensure people do not wail about it. It is "Rules as Written AND Intended". Yes they can be Rapid Ingressed (since Cult Ambush is Reserves too).
at 22:00.. good for gw, useless for wtc as there is never any overhanging ruins allowed anyways.
Think I'm the only one using purgation squad with flamers I didn't even get first. I'm feeling targeted Here gw
GW hating tau again by making tiger sharks worthless with the new rules. I literally just put it together.

I havent had a geometry class in a long time, tigershark fits in a corner from strat reserves right?
Overwatch only targets the unit that is firing.
End of 9th was the most balanced

Y'all REALLY need to rebalance or re-record the audio for your into. It's almost silent.
Fix the Crisis pivot problem by making them Infantry again pls

48:15 40k is basically two orkz playing a game. Whatever both players believe to be allowed, is allowed.

Gotta love that pivot on my warpsmith.
29:20 who got paid to write these rules?! This is mind boggling
