  1. GW is so stingy with new models for old factions that need them, I really don't think we should be at a stage where any resin (finecast) or metal models remain in any AOS army ranges

I'd love to see more grit models (long live Grom) but I don't feel they really need many new models given they already got a huge new range update in AOS with lots of refreshed kits and new models

  2. The beasts are the true children of chaos, they embody chaos in many aspects. They don't believe in serving the gods as offering up your soul to a deity for greater power is seen as weak. Yet it doesn't stop several beasts to become khorngors, pestigors, slaangors, tzaangors, etc… But these tend to be looked down upon by the others, barely anything better than ungors.

They believe in strength and one should only lead if they're strong enough. (or cunning, menacing, etc…), they hate civilization or anything that comes from it. Anything that's structured or is build in a place that doesn't belong needs to be torn down and trampled underhooves.

Or atleast that was the thing in the older lore, I have no idea if they changed it a lot.

  3. About the "Goblins are supposed to be funny/comedic relief": Read "Gloomspite", written by Andy Clark. Jesus Christ on mushrooms, Gloomspite Gitz are fucking terrifying! There's a scene in there where Skragrott tortures a character by slowly turning him into a mushroom. Sounds silly but it's fucking horrifying how he is in pain as his flesh splits and has to watch helplessly as he is consumed by fungus while his mind wilts away. Goblins in the lore are sadistic, evil, cunning and crazy. The only time their cowardly nature shows is when they start to really lose a fight or when their leaders are slain. Seriously, read the book! It's eyeopening how afraid the people are when the Bad Moon starts to creep up on the city and to read how people disappear and are found as half-eaten corpses in the gutter etc. To be taken alive by Gloomspite Gitz should be among the most dreadful things a person could experience, on par with being taken by Beastmen or having to experience a demonic incursion etc.

  4. Man, I was nostalgic for the Wolf Riders when they came out in Underworlds. Now they're actually "properly" here and it's awesome. Gobbo Wolf Riders were my very first Warhammer Fantasy model kit when I was a 12yo lad.

  5. If Rob needs some inspiration for thematic Gloomspite lore, the Gloomspite novel is insane. It's disgusting and horrible and the Goblins are portrayed as the worst, most spiteful, nasty little fucks.

  6. absolutely HATE digital only rules, already dont like how digital the rules already are. I want the books to come out and not have the rules change at all inbetween hard copy publications.
I want someone years from now to find some old rule books and actually be able to play the game as it was

  7. And what's worse is they don't take ANY criticism whatsoever. Comments turned off. THAT I hate.
But I will say, the fan made video is still not perfect. For one it's too long. For two it's not excellent quality (that's fine) but what I think they should have done was had the new beastlord KILL the old beastlord. 1000000% better. IMO

  8. 01:45 Hard to take a freaking goat seriously. Also it is possible cause the people making what you like are in product development the people trying to sell it are in fucking marketing so not the same person.

  9. I didn't mind the GW beastman thing. It's good not to be so self serious all the time, especially when you are releasing one updated model. Save the big presentation for when you actually have some new sculpts worth talking about

  12. The whole non digital battle tome thing is so mind boggling, it’s not even funny.
I mean, with the digital codes in the back of the book they have to seal them anyway so why not do the following:
When you buy a battletome it comes in two pieces.
The actual book is lore, story, flavour, painting guides and includes a big and fun section all ablut narrative play. You know, the stuff that ages well. It also has the little code for the app in the back. To get the digital rules. Secondly, and that’s the big thing, it comes with a bunch of separate ring binder pages in good quality that you can put in your official GW-competitive ring binder (or any other) and it includes all the rules in a presentable and easy to use form for tournament play. Ofc those don’t necessarily age well, but with every important change GW just releases the changed pages on their website for you to print out and laminate yourself if you so chose to do.
    Done.
Now, whenever they release a new book they just release the new rules separately (could even sell the ring binder pages if they wanted to) and from time to time they’d renew the actual tome (meaning, when something really changed). So if you wanted to upgrade you could do so.
