Do games REALLY need to be made “great again”? The past 5 years alone has seen tons of great games, and this is but a small sample.

  1. I actually vastly prefer Doom 2016 over Eternal. I wasn't a huge fan of each individual weapons being extra effective against certain enemies. They turned a fun boomer shooter into a sweat fest. It's not a bad game at all, but I replay 2016 all the time, I think I've only played eternal maybe twice.

  2. I genuinely believe some of the best game to exist in general have come out in the past 5 years. AAA or indie. I think the biggest issue for games these days isnt necessarily the game itself, but the implementation of microtransactions or shortened development time that leads to performance issue. That can bog stuff down, but even then, so much quality stuff comes out.
