Just had a huge moment that might help explain the lore area a bit. (?) So from what I've found, the company was founded in the 1930s. while ww2 started in 1939. With the gas masks and the gas chambers, it makes sense that they connect with each other. And after ww2 ended, the co. was still up and running until at least sometime around 1993. I looked for something of the opium poppy, but the Pure Food and Drug Act was established in 1906 in America.((I think)) I'm not sure if it'll help, but if it does, noice.
If Matpat can deduce this much from a minute-long trailer, I think the second Scott Cawthon shows a random pixel, Matt will be able to analyse it, break it down and link it to the FNAF lore.
if this ends up being canon then hat's off to the creators. this is something that's NEVER sewed in within indie horror and it is a genuinly terrifying concept since … well it's so real. this actually had IRL ties to it, it's terrifying but its so amazing
I just wish they'd stop trying hard to advertise their game and merch to children. It's just so weird, even for a child horror fan to be so into something this disturbing, dark and brutal. for me when chapter 3 release i think the big bad is gonna be huggy wuggy and kissy missy since huggy wuggy just fell he might survive that fall and when u complete the chapter 2 u go down so there is a chance u will be fighting huggy wuggy AGAIN or poppy and at chapter one there is like those poles that huggy hit so you might need that gas mask to survive the poppy gas and the pole is to help the poppy gas to spread and spred and spread more

i have a theory that since it showed the toys as.. well normal toys indicates that the whole of the poppy playtime universe is the night mare of a kid who went there and got lost and got traumatized enough that they have this nightmare
theory 2 is that this is all just a kid playing with their toys ( only support for this on is kids have dark imaginations i mean i know i had a super dark imagination)

Here’s also an odd thought. What if there wasn’t a total terrible malicious intent behind the children being turned into toys? Now here me out before judging but during those times of WW2 and The Great Depression parents of multiple children were basically forced to sell their children to better families to make ends meat for the rest of the family. There’s pictures online.
So what if the CEO (Elliot?) wanted to find a way for kids to be placed into homes and be “adopted” but without the expense of raising a child? To him it might seem like a win-win-win situation. Children from families that are poor and can’t afford big expensive toys, get a nice toy at a decent price, a child that had to be put up for adoption for one reason or another gets a new home, the family unknowingly adopts a child that gets love and attention but education and food aren’t a worry, and then Elliot gets paid. Still horrible, but less aggressive horrible and more trying to play God but it ends up bad anyway horrible.
