  1. I like your take on FF 16. Most people slate for a few things like promoting slavery, and the female characters not really having a strong role, but the game did revolved two brothers that would go to the ends of the earth for each other, also this story had male writers. As a female I personally wasn't too bothered by this.

I was disappointed with Annabelle. With the way she was introduced as a strong character that rose through backstabbing and ambition, but her presence just disappeared, I thought she was going to be the antagonist.

I loved that point of how can final fantasy call it's self an RPG, as we don't control other characters.

  2. Thank you for the great video. I enjoyed this game a lot, but it also has left me a bitter taste simply because it was very lacking in parts that were vert obvious. It's sad how they could've made it a true masterpiece but fell at the goal line. As a female gamer, I enjoyed Jill a lot but it was obvious she was nothing more than a love interest, Clives personal therapist and damsel in distress. The writing tried to appear deep but obvious they dont know how to write female characters and give them relevancy. Crazy how many in the comments think otherwise.
The "RPG" aspects was just slapped on as an obvious after thought. Oh well, overall, I enjoyed the story. Here's to hoping for future ff games!

  3. how was that woman who manipulated her husband to make her favorite son the emperor and then killed herself when her plan failed the Amber Heard of FF? Unless those men who assaulted that woman, in the beginning, were the Johnny Depps of FF?

  4. I found the game's combat a little lacking to be honest. They removed elements that make an rpg, such as classes, multiple party members and different weapons. If they decided to go with devil may cry style of combat they should have 100 % gone full in, like when he gets the power of other dominants, each dominants power has a different fighting style just like when Dante gets a new weapon. Instead we get that each dominants power gets a new mechanic and abilities that have a cooldown.

  5. My guy can’t just sit back and enjoy a game, 1 third of these are just you not doing side quests and reading lore, the second third is you being butthurt about older ff games and the last third are actual things that can be complained about, try to take it down a notch, play the whole game and enjoy yourself once in a while

  6. 44:50 they didn't "kill" children very often if you play with the jp voice-over you hear that they did far worse… wich isn't translated in any languages subtitles …
as far as the game go the Jp voice-over and the the rest tells a very different story most of the times (which is often no translated in the subs) and this is one fat sin
1:24:00 that's the biggest grip i have with this game, Earlier it clearly shows that ultima helped humanity at some point and was present, the story of the warrior that fought and was punished by the gods hints at it too, the Lake and the missing Leviathan too utlimadammit

  7. XVI managed to be an action game that can't hope to compare to KH2 or 3 on gameplay perspective. Is about as depressing to play as Type 0 with every important character dead. Aside from Jill who manages to escape that fate by being made irrelevant a few hours in. The world has nothing in the way of entertainment, aside from sex apparently. The characters never get a chance to unwind and we never get to enjoy them in a not serious setting. I wonder if the game isn't actually a call for help from the story writers that feel there is nothing in life but work and depression.
