EA Games:
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was one of the Steam Deck’s showcase titles when it first went on sale — now, it’s one of likely dozens of popular EA games that don’t launch properly anymore. Nearly four weeks ago, Valve retroactively revoked the Steam Deck Verified status of most popular Electronic Arts games on Steam, including every modern Battlefield, Need for Speed, Mass Effect, FIFA, and Madden title.

The good news: both Valve and EA tell The Verge that fixes are on the way. There’s also an easy workaround if you’re comfortable navigating the desktop Linux interface and / or willing to risk your savegames.

Here’s a partial list of titles that are no longer Steam Deck Verified, according to SteamDB data:

  1. I have a legit question, I'm about to buy a Steam Deck, but I'm worried about playing offline, I don't play any multiplayer, I don't care for it, I only play single player games, I have internet in my workplace, but I don't have internet in my house (I refuse to pay for 2 services), Will I be able to play offline? because if I can't , then the Deck purchase must be aborted, thanks in advance

  2. I'm really excited that I can finally play TLOU on PC as well as TLOU2 when they port it over two. I really need Ghost of Tsushima on my PC and my Deck.
Christopher Judge doesn't get as much love from gamers or the media as he deserves. The guy did his MoCap and recorded his lines while dealing with cancer… That's dedication to a game.
Don't forget that Epic is giving away a free game everyday starting Thursday for 15 days in a row.

  3. Master chief collection has started to just kick me out, Had it on an earlier proton and now the most recent and it did launch and played for few minutes then it kicked me out… Anyone else having these same issues?

  4. Where are you seeing that Returnal is Steam Deck Verified? The game has some insanely beefy PC requirements, so I had pretty much written it off for playing on the Deck. From my time playing the PS5 version it seems like a game that absolutely requires 60fps as it is a very fast paced shooter. With PC requirements suggesting 32 gb of RAM and an 8GB GPU it seems unlikely that it would run well on the Deck, though I hope I'm proven wrong.

  5. Ima be honest, the problem with the all in one for many people isnt the lack of ports. 99% of the people docking dont give a shite about an additional display port or ethernet port or extra usb ports. You can buy a usb 4way hub attatchment for 5$. The main problem will be the length you need of all the cables your connecting to reach the tv itself.

  6. Thanks for another video! I can confirm that using Proton Experimental works for Mass Effect Legendary Edition and also the OG Mass Effect 3. It will hang after pressing PLAY the first time, but if you force quit or let it crash, then reboot it, it should load up after that.
