  1. I always liked Margaery, because while yes, as you said, she may be acting out of self interest more than actual generosity of spirit, if she is just trying to manipulate things, that just puts her up with every other half-smart character in the show. And look at how they go about it, the tools these other characters use to gain and maintain power – backstabbing, scheming, abuse, actual murder. Margaery's main tactic in Kings Landing seems to be gaining the love of the people by – revolutionary – being nice to them. I'll take it, y'know 🤷‍♀️

  2. Ser Barristan wanted to die as a knight. He wasn't about to go run to the hills and die. Also, the Lannisters sent men to kill him (in the book) and he managed to kill a couple of them without a weapon (since he threw down his sword before Joffrey) and flee. They weren't about to let him live out his days in a castle anyways. The question after that was where does he go? To serve Robb? Stannis? Well, he went to Essos in search of Daenerys lol

  3. Jerome Flynn (Bronn) and Lena Headey were, at one time, in a relationship that ended badly. The scene where Cersei is leaving Tyrion's chamber while Bronn is outside is the only scene where they appear together and the have no dialogue. The gossip was they refused to appear together, although Flynn halfheartedly denied it by saying they were now on good terms.
