This has Defender meets Joust vibes. I like the look.
Great review. Simple but addicting time filler.
Def get Killer Queen vibes w/ the collection/movement mechanics – looks responsive and fast paced. too bad the leaderboards/competitions aren't integrated cleaner – QR feels like a addon. bummer since it performs so well, devs are clearly talented and detail minded.
Looks like a lot of fun. Might check it out. Thank you.
Oh thank God! A normal game. Please, for the love of God, don’t ever use a thumbnail like you originally had on your last game review. I have no idea why you chose that type of game I. The first place unless it was some kind of inside joke that I somehow missed. I couldn’t get by the thumbnail without wanting to puke. You know I’m a huge fan of you and of course it’s your channel but I can’t be the only one that thought you’d lost your mind. Now this game looks pretty interesting. Thanks for showing it.
You’ve made some great points on rating. It would be easy to get lost in talking about it’s clear inspirations being Defender, Joust, and Asteroids. Many consumers may fall to nostalgia but gameplay is key. I must say- there is nothing more ‘80s than leaving a single frame to return on the other side. Games like Asteroids and Joust seemed to set a trend that we’d see in movies for the next decade.
OH HEY! Don’t let me forget to mention that this game also takes inspiration from a game called Choplifter! It is Memorial Day, after all. And yes, I’m old.
Thanks! Great review!
Looks great! Had my eye on this game. Been really in to super simple retro games lately. So addictive and easy to play for a few minutes
This sounds really good. It's a fair price as well £4 / €5. Can't argue with that. There has been a few games your reviewed which had short play times and high price. 'Best Month Ever' is €20! Way too much. This dev has made a great game at a very reasonable price. That's a win / win. One to buy.
Looks like a mix of Joust and Defender.
Those are 2 games I like, but the longevity is a bit questionable.
