Good story but it comes off like a two week vacation not hundreds or thousand's of years needs more detail and something more personal
Look folks do we want deathless prose, or, just a rousing good story? Argue all you want, I'll pull up a chair to a corner table. Bring me a glass, ice, and my choice of soft drink. I intend to watch , drink my drink , and eat my pizza. Just do not disturb me. My bodies are in a boot hill on Saturn's rings.
A story completely different than any regular sci-fi tale.. Fascinating, and I really hope their is a second half, to bring us to a conclusion.. and an understanding of what the story's intent is.. That humanity is somehow connected to super ancient powers, all unknown to modern humans is just fascinating..
That the Galactic Council's response to mankind's "awakening" and alliance with the primordial's was a war of annihilation seems pretty stupid, a response driven entirely by greed for control.. no attempt to even talk to us to see where the bond with primordial's was taking us.. No thought to the potentials for a better future for all.. just a tiny, petty and bitter desperation to keep their domination of so many other races intact.. Like they are offered the universe of potential good..
and reject it because they'd rather just bump off some liquor stores instead.. a really stupid and mindless reaction.. throwing away a chance at a peaceful advanced future for continuing their petty grasps at power on a small level.. Just as long as they think that only "they" have power, control.
so small minded, petty… not surprising no.. just so sad. Not so different from Earth's current various leadership.. grab power, no matter how much future they piss away to get it.. how many lives..
Yeah.. just like current year Earth's braindead leaders..
The storylines kept losing themselves, like a blending of different ones that go nowhere.

This is just pure laziness at its worse.
Was enjoying the story until they started talking about the human crew. Was about to quit after the first 2 crew were revealed as women. When the 3rd member was revealed as a man I decided to give it a chance. Almost immediately the 4th member was revealed as a women and I'm done. As a man I relate to and enjoy better stories about men. Not for me.

Really good story, but how did they get from within a starship against the elders, preparing to do battle with the primordial son there side, then in a submersible that’s on earth??? Still a good story, but that confused me, LOL!!!

These stories are like an Alfred Hitchcock movies, they don't end they just stop.
that was horrible, truly awful
The concept is cool. Execution is bad. Idc about using ai voices or even using "AI" to supplement writing, But it's clear very little oversight was put into giving this story any depth. I'm not even halfway through and already I've been told waaay more times than could possibly be necessary just how monumental what the humans are doing and great and terrifying the primordials are. I'd be willing to be this thing would shrink in half or more if these useless expositions were removed.
