  1. Brain was a coward and died a coward ….
He will be remembered as a coward
He killed and was too scared to face the consequences.
I would have felt sorry for his parents, but obviously they have conspired with their son.
    What a shame …
As for Komoroski, she deserves life imprisonment. This wasn't the first time she was driving intoxicated. She should rot in jail and stop asking "why me"……..

  2. “if you hate my guts, i’ll get new guts” wtf?! this line stood out to me but the whole thing is nuts. it’s like she’s a doormat for her own son. really weird vibes.

explains why brian just went home after killing gaby and how he could do it in the first place. with a mother like that he probably thought he could do whatever he wanted and the world was there to cater to him

  3. Even if she wrote this letter as a "trying to repair my relationship with my son" type of thing, its too coincidental for that to be taken seriously at this point.

Your son murders someone and around the same time youre writing about helping him break out of jail and helping hide a body? Yeah youre gonna go down for that.

  4. Now i know that a parent would do their best to protect their child. However, i know that that the wording in this letter sounds insane my father would hide me, my mother would not, but my father would never go this far. He wouldn't write this, i do believe this letter was written before gabby's demise.

  5. The lines about jail and disposing of a body are immoral and disturbing, but they are the least concerning parts of this letter to me because most people's children will not actually commit homicide nor do most parents think they ever will. I think what really speaks volumes about their relationship is "If you say you hate my guts, I'll get new guts." It suggests to me that the Laundries let Brian get away with whatever he wanted because he threw tantrums. HE held all the power. And one of those adult tantrums is likely what escalated to taking Gabby's life. If they had raised him right, Gabby might still be alive.

  7. Don’t understand why comments are so literal, don’t you remember that it’s been said Brian was into books about murder, serial killers..maybe gabby as well, as well as lot of folks who are fascinated with this topic. Perhaps Brian’s mother wrote that letter using that “inside” language, tucked it into his belongings before he left for their big cross country trip to show that she was always there for him , would do anything for him, as any mother may be worried when their child decides to go on such a long trip with only their girlfriend, to me sounds like “burn after reading” is in line with this “inside” tongue in cheek language, . The fact that Brian never burned the letter shows it had nothing to do with what happened, and just a horrible coincidence. Folks use language from movies, tv, books, songs all the time, esp in american culture.

  8. I agree that much of the letter could be read as hyperbole. However, why would you say these things before he had killed anyone? Would it not encourage him, knowing his parents would essentially do, and excuse anything he does? Then there's the "burn after reading" part. Why would that be necessary, if he wasn't going to do, or hadn't done anything wrong? If the letter was not refering to anything bad, why would he need to burn it?
They knew. They went camping together after he murdered her! There is no way on earth they didn't know, they didn't even try to cooperate with the police. It's as if they had accepted what he did, and their answer was to say sod the law, forget morals, let's take a last holiday together before you go and do what you need to do. Then they let him leave with a gun. These people are sick.

  9. What mother would write that stuff!!!!!!! THEY KNEW HE KILLED HER AND DID NOTHING TO HELP HER PARENTS!!!! They could have immediately driven their son to jail and helped her family find her body!!!!!! God will judge them!!!!!! Disgusting excuses of parents and human beings!!! THEY KNEW!!!

  10. We can all read the letter and yet we still can't see the female cops bodycam footage from the traffic stop.
The female cop talked to the girl for an hour and recorded it all on bodycam….they still refuse to release her bodycam footage.
The female cop was the one that said no DV occurred and she convinced the male cops not to arrest her….we can all see the male cops bodycam footage….she was pivotal in letting them go and still they refuse to release her bodycam footage.

  11. Absolutely no way is that letter ‘normal’ , not between a mother and son anyway…reads more like a letter between two lovers.
She’s lost him by helping him evade justice, at least in prison she could’ve visited weekly. I’m pretty sure she/parents knew he’d killed Gabby. I’m also confident that the letter was written afterwards. Unfortunately proving it isn’t going to be that easy. I do think she probably needs some psych help

  12. He didn't burn the letter. He just went off and killed himself hoping alligators would make him completely disappear. Now she is caught, too. I guess she thought he would. Burn the letter, I mean. She couldn't handle it. A liar cannot handle truth.
    Kohberger needs to confess.
Your sin will find you out.

  13. What this is all about is what it always ends up being about….. $$$-MONEY-$$$
There is NO indication, even within this Letter, that any of the Parents had any idea Brian would snap and Murder the love of his life.

  14. Honestly I think it was probably written figuratively. He probably would’ve got rid of it if it was in connection with the murder. He probably kept it because it was his moms attempt to make amends with him when they weren’t getting along. But even with that said it’s up to the professionals to decide and I still absolutely think the parents knew about the murder and intentionally misled the media and the petito family.

  15. The letter sounds like a desperate mother trying desperately to reel her son back in from the brink … unfortunately she sounds like she too might have some issues.. wow

  16. even in this day and age…there is some mothers that will do anything for their children. I dont feel the few that is left like that we should punish… It is the mothers instinct to protect there children or at least used to be.
