  2. Having endured the loss of my sister when she was 15 and two cousins in tragic accidents, listening to Gabby recount her grief and its impact was a stark reminder of my own grief and how I got through it. Very honest, very open and for those going through the grief process much needed. I really got the loss of empathy and patience. Great interview

  3. Gabby is utterly fantastic. She is really adored by us all. I wept when I watched this interview and I have now subscribed as Steven requested. It's such an important and wonderful thing.

  4. The time stamps are so useful, thank you. Gabby is fascinating and super smart, could listen to hear for hours. I can see how the profound sudden loss of her brother would have changed her and turned her entire family’s lives upside down.

  5. I'm old enough to have been able to see Terry Yorath and Kenny Logan play, and Gabby begin her journey as a commentator – rugby and football being my passions, so I really enjoyed this episode. I was aware of the sad events of her brother passing away, and watched the horrific Bradford City fire unfold on the tv..😓😢

  6. Iv'e always liked Gabby, I remenber her dad playing and managing, my estimation of her only increased when she did her stand up for sport relief, that takes guts, I find it so annoying to hear about sexism in the workplace, if I knew who they were, if they were front of camera, I would just outright refuse to watch them, there are 2 that were called out over a decade ago and I never watch them, she's smart, funny. beautiful, loyal, down to earth and i'll be honest, prefer her to Gary Lineker on MOTD

  7. I feel sorry for Gabby for being forced to work with the likes of Andy Gray who is a misogynist and a bigot, then there's his shadow aka Richard Keys.

Other football pundits I can imagine being difficult to work with would be Jamie Carragher, Ron Atkinson and Glenn Hoddle.

  8. This is totally weird! While she was talking just before the end. I was thinking she should have her own talk show! I wonder why she hasn’t. Is there a market. Then Trisha’s show came to mind. I thought hmm does talk show do well in the U.K. etc. She really could!!! She would be really good! Literally thinking this not knowing that’s her dream.

It’s weird! Honestly but I am happy at the same time. My intuition is on point 👏🏾😊😊! I echo everything Steve Barlett said!!! She has the right attitude, charisma, empathy and support!

So happy she encouraged her partner to get the test done! Proud of her! Don’t know her deeply! I enjoyed hearing her story!

    Thank you Steve

  9. I think women these days are often parachuted into covering sport on TV without the necessary talent or experience . Gabby on the other hand is a master of her craft. She is way under used. I'd watch her doing anything on TV cause she knows how to do TV.

  10. Always been inspired by Gabby. The way she talks so openly about her childhood makes you realise that you're not alone. I'm going to buy her book now. She would be a great talk show host and I think you should have one too Steven. You are so thoughtful and appreciative of your guests, i'm sure they feel very special when they leave your studio.

  11. She didn't give herself the credit she's due. She's such a strong, clever, intelligent person and I'm sure Kenny feels as lucky to have her in his life and she feels about him. I really enjoyed listening to this
