  1. No, we’re not to Mars in any significant way for centuries, maybe even millennia. It’s economics.

Anything we do in a big way has to have economic inputs and outputs. Those activities that fail to have outputs have to be funded by government.

The supermajority of our activities in space provide some service to markets on Earth. Aside from a few scientific experiments and a peacekeeping experiment (ISS), virtually everything we do in space is communication. Anyone investing in space is building communications.

Mars has no business case. There’s nothing there that can’t be gotten on or near Earth. The only thing that Mars has is information about Mars.

Maybe, millennia from now we’ll have run out of space, materials or energy in cis-lunar space. It might make sense to venture to Mars then.

  2. Before anyone lands there, there needs to be an artificial magnetosphere established at the L1 point. The preconditions for habitability have to be established first. You don't build a building on top of no foundations, you need the foundations first.

  3. Pie in the sky.
Speak to someone who has overwintered in Antarctica, and ask how they'd have felt if they thought they were there permanently.
You might survive, but it won't be a life.

  4. Mars does not have a magnetic field or atmosphere, so solar radiation would kill you. In the case of terraforming, Mars does not have an equivalent moon, which would tip it like a top, meaning that where it is desert here is now the north pole and vice versa. less gravitational attraction, which causes bone problems, cardiac circulation, etc. Hello, is there anyone at home? The time has come to wake up.

  5. Wow! That was all wrong but. Interesting effort. Mars is literally a death trap. But sure; go colonizes it. The radiation will kill you all but whatever. Humans are well adept at genetic engineering and terra forming. 😂 Well . . . at least in your dreams they are.

  6. Terraforming is a pipe dream. The true value of a presence on Mars isn’t growing Martian avocados…it is as a galactic energy station which can allow space travel to increasingly distant places. Whether this approach is in the long term interests of humans, only time will tell..

  7. I would leave all the digital wallet, digital ID, transhumanist, nanobot and droids BS behind on Earth.
I would also suggest that the first loads of explorers to Mars be construction engineers, electricians, plumbers, IT and laborers, not scientists. Building and assembling habitation centres, hydroponic farms, water, air and sanitation plants are up and running before a single scientist can go. On Earth who puts scientists into a construction site?

  8. All those machines will have to have replacement parts, thats a lot of equipment being transported to a plant that is what? a years flight from earth. Nice daydreams for having the distant future . Those spaceships will have to be beyond huge. Great video of a dream.

  9. We should first be raising the temperature of the planet. We should be doing this now if we can raise the temperature of the planet, we can take asteroidal ice and put it in decay orbit around the planet to work when it comes into the atmosphere it melts down and it kills any bacterial or Unwanted organisms

  10. I met Elon Musk in 2000 and we discussed many of these ideas. There isn't a smarter business developer or CEO that has done what Elon has done with Tesla or SpaceX. Elon is even building multiple Starships for the consideration of commercial space exploration and colonization. Some people think they are smarter than Elon but I have yet to see anyone outsmart him. Using methane and oxygen, also known as ultra cool methylox for his Starship Rockets was brilliant considering most planets we will land on will have the ingredients to propel the Starships further out of our solar system and back. Of course the use of helium 3 in a nuclear fusion rocket would take us to the depths of our solar system and further a lot faster. Over the period of a few years he can realign him self back in the winning seat because he's already aware of the steps he has to take and he's already making them! Elon Musk is making the world cleaner and better place to live for many generations to come. I don't know if you could say the same for the fossil fuel industry! Even though the businesses we talked about we're going to be incredibly difficult to become successful at, there was a good chance of success! That's why we talked about ways of reducing advertising, manufacturing and distribution costs. Elon was going to move forward regardless, he said they were all good ideas and should be done. We even talked about ways of slingshotting your initial business by becoming your own best supplier. This eliminates being controlled by your suppliers. Innovative people with integrity expect to be believed otherwise they let time prove them right. So let's shoot for the Moon and Mars, then we will live amongst the Stars!

  11. sci fi bullshiting about peoples on Mars by 2030 and tech are so shitty that we cannot go to moon again after 54 years but some stupid channels talks about first humans on Mars , maybe first corpses who will come to there

  12. The video is perfect, but it shows a lot of simple untested theories in foreign conditions. The reality will be different even though research and science continue very fast. The colonization of Mars will require countless failures, mishaps and lives, despite the immense help of artificial intelligence and robotics to such a difficult challenge for humanity. I am already old and I see it black, because first of all people on Earth will have to start acting and talking sensibly. Will the material and energy resources be available for all this? Will they no longer be armed or will there be wars because of it? When will the world no longer be divided as it is today? What else will nature allow us here in the future? How long will the Earth have a bearable temperature and breathable air for life? And if it were possible to lay the foundation for a new life on Mars with acceptable gravity, atmosphere, water and temperature for humans, how long would it take? Will the human organism be gradually modified in such a way that it avoids various diseases and does not succumb to all unexpected traps? All of us who are living our lives now and many generations after us will not live to see it anyway. But even so, man will hopefully become an alien if he can adapt to the conditions on the planet Mars, which he wants to colonize. Good luck.
