  1. Oh yes the Brothers Johnson. Remember playing this on 8 track in my 1972 Chevy Malibu thru Kraco speakers and a power booster. The women loved Louis because he had the perfect afro for the times. Those brothers were funky. I would to you react to Tom Browne Jamaica Funk. Needs to be the video version since it adds so much to the song.

  2. Absolutely classic track. You can hear exactly why Quincy Jones got Louis Johnson to play a lot of the bass on the Off The Wall and Thriller albums. In the '80s, Stock Aitken and Waterman reproduced a lot of sounds and chord progressions from this track for one of their early hits, Princess's 'Say I'm You're #1' – a slamming track and worth reacting to I'd say (both its 7" and 12" versions).

  3. Shuggie Otis [the cat who influenced PRINCE more than ANYONE!🤘🤘] wrote and recorded the original
…but since The Brothers Johnson & Quincy recorded this version, it has become the standard for this classic.

    🔥🤘🤘

Early Brothers Johnson (pre-disco) is much more funk-heavy & rockin'!!!!

Check out the classic: "Get The Funk Out My Face"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘 ⚡

  5. Jordan, this song was sampled. The opening music sounded familiar. Kurtis Blow sampled it in 1988 in the song "Still On The Scene" and dozens of other songs sampled it over the years. This has been played on the radio for years. Great classic.

  6. Weeeell, if you like funk then you might like their song, Get The Funk Outta My Face. I’ll Be Good To You, wasn’t as funky or fast, but it was more popular.
One of my favorite songs back then was Get Off, by Foxy. I bought the tape and loved it but I think they were essentially a one hit wonder. And I didn’t know until just today that one of the instruments I loved in that song was a talk box! I just didn’t know what it was at the time.
Edit: Depending on which song came out first I thought the first time I’d heard a talk box was in Peter Frampton’s song, Do You feel Like We Do. I’m sure people have begged you to review it too because he does a masterclass on guitar. There’s the album version which also highlights an extraordinary keyboard player, and then there’s a Midnight Special video. Both are good but you really need to hear the album version from a live concert. The audience’s reactions, (whistles, clapping, shouts, and cheers), anticipating what’s next, fit the song perfectly and to me feel like an extra instrument. It’s long but worth it.

  7. This drummer is the same drummer who played MJ’s Rock with You, Chaka khan Through the Fire, and other countless songs and albums 🔥 btw this bass player Louis Johnson RIP played on MJ’s Billie Jean

  8. All right my babies…. Big time banger ‼️ If you noticed in the lyrics it said "Strawberry Letter 22" it's a reference to a 22nd letter that he got from a woman. His response back to her and makes it the Strawberry Letter 23. And check this out…If you purchased the lp record back in the seventies, the album was see-through red in color, the label in the middle of the record was a scratch and sniff and it smelled like strawberry ‼️ Most definitely a collector's item for sure ‼️💯🔥😎👍🏼

  9. A couple of other Brothers Johnson for you to react to are the very pop oriented huge hit for them called I'll Be Good To You and the song Get The Funk Out Ma Face, which sounds just like the title suggests it will.
