FULL Zombie Event BREAKDOWN – Tarkov's BEST Event?

The Halloween Zombie event for Escape From Tarkov was BSG’s best event to date. However, like most things Tarkov, it wasn’t perfect and had it’s share of issues.

In this video I go over the highs and lows of the event and evaluate the stats BSG shared with us.

  1. Im watching alot of content of you, and just realised today i wasn't sub… damn im sorry, keep up the good work !

I liked this event but for me the trigger thing i disliked was : Z head healthpool, server lags with this much of ai, i didnt like the part where i should extract quest item from labs because as a solo player, i want to have fun in an event, and not grinding my ass off for a single quest supposed to be fun of an event

  2. I wasn't a fan and you can tell it was rushed and not quite polished out, the numbers 100% seem inflated to me, but i will say it was nice having something new to the game and seeing bsg getting in their bag to do something new

  3. I think the event was fine. But I started at lvl 1 on day 2 of the event, made those early levels super weird and frustrating at first. The lagging of the zombies was not good or fun gameplay at all, and getting one tapped by pistol zombies didn't seem very fair. Once I got lvl 15 it became easier, but zombies as a lvl 1-14 sucks ass

  4. The event broke down into two groups. The people who were already end of wipe and bored who loved it and those who were new or less knowledgeable that had a level of difficulty added they couldn't deal with while leveling

  5. I loved it. It was an absolute blast. It was so much fun to play the game in a different way. Flesh ammo was good. Different guns were good. You navigated the map differently. You focused on different things. It was a blast to take the game we've all played forever now and see it turned on its head. It wasn't perfect, but it was the first event where we really got a different experience out of it instead of just playing normal Tarkov with slightly different goals.

I have max metabolism, so the virus didn't bother me, but I can see that needing to be fixed in some way if they do this again. Even having it so that drinking water temporarily halted the hydro drain so that you'd get a few minutes before it started draining again would be fine, I think. But yeah the virus basically forcing you to leave raid would be really crappy.

  6. As someone with 4000hours in tarkov , i loved the event. Yes it was clunky and yes it had issues with lag and sound but it was enjoyable. It was great it was hard and forced you carry meds and ammo to survive. Made me play old maps i didnt normally play to get the full experience.

  7. The event was awesome but it could've gotten more love as we were expecting a grand finale that never came (such as last year's Halloween). They could've just put all the bosses in a safe area map that has 0% infection and make some sort of grand finale plot out of it. The curation of the event launch was excellent, the actual live stream with the trailer reveal was a chef's kiss. The zombies could've been tweaked to compensate for server issues such as reducing the number of zombies but increasing their health pool. Fog could've been utilized to up the scare factor as well. But all in all, it was a great event that threw the community into a nice awkward frenzy. Perfect duration & complexity, lackluster ending.

  8. I've spent more time in labs during this event then total before in the last 6 wipes. It helped me to learn the layout, navigate between the departments and learn the connections. it was a very good occasion to enable the labs and reduce the sweatiness of that place.
Also the event quests were sometimes annoying (grenade and melee kill zombies) and sometimes surprisingly fun like the Reserve quest.
Overall i played so much during the event, that basically i havent logged in since.

  9. Good: First event a casual player could actually finish the questline of! Grindy it was, but not as bad as usually.

Bad: cramping the entire playerbase into the new labs area for half of the quests. And into the even tinyer locked room.

  10. I think if you didnt look up the guide, planting shit for therapist seemed like a nightmare, whereas killing sanitar seemed easy as. Didnt realise you would then have to craft and plant after that.

  11. I am a big fan of zombies. At the beginning of this event I was very interested. Unfortunately, since it is BSG, I lost the desire to play many times. Most often I died running far away from zombies, who had guns and hit me from 50 meters with one shot in the neck (or destroyed my leg, and their colleagues finished the job). Additionally, some were not heard at all. I also missed "living" bots having a place on the map, where they defend themselves (e.g. Lexos). They would place a few bots + a friendly boss and create some kind of "safe zone" on the map. Generally, I gave up playing Tarkov… because of Nikita (the guy pisses me off), but I think that in the hands of other creators, this event could be very cool (in my opinion).
PS. I think Tarkov with zombies (permanent) would be really cool… but not made by BSG.

  12. I think the popularity of tarkov in general and having a monopoly on the market is why these numbers are so high. I wonder how games like black point are going to affect the player base next wipe.

  13. The event was a big sink for the market which made the game feel fresh again. It gave people with a full stash a reason to spend a lot of money, which is good for everyone. On the other hand, having to climb on things to get away from the horde, in a game as glytchy as Tarkov is, was really fucking annoying. Not to mention getting randomly headshot by pistol zombies. I think the armor made a big difference with that, it didn't really happen to me until I had to wear the Untar one that doesn't have neck protection.

I'm also pretty sure they adjusted things along the way, like how many zombies spawn. At least for PVE. I remember the first few raids with zombies, I couldn't get out of the garage in labs, there were so many. By the time I had to kill a certain number of them towards the end of the event, I had to go looking for them, couldn't just wait for them to come to me. And I always ran a silencer.
