We have a po box at The UPS Store close to our daughter. She has access to our box but if she can't pick it up all I have to do is call as tell them to forward all of our mail. It worked super when we were in Florida for the to pack in a large envelope and mail to us.

How much is your insurance increasing? I was told it's very expensive.
Escapees has a great emergency service plan. One caveat. If you are towing a 5th wheel or travel trailer make sure the VIN you use is the TOWED unit. The truck is covered as long as it is attached to the unit. If you only register the truck, the trailer MAY not be covered for towing.

Thank you for explaining the Escapees. That does sound so confusing with using a domicile state and you need to use Texas too. That sounds so confusing. Glad it helps you with being a disabled vet and all. I’m glad you now will be getting your mail. Has anyone here used or known anyone that has used Escapees as a domicile for OTR trucking? The only difference I see is that most RVers would most likely not have a CDL…and I wasn't sure if that adds in any restrictions with respect to domicile addresses.
The problem with Escapees in Florida is delayed mail. Your licences, registrstions and insurance are sent to the satellite campground in Florida (these documents need to see a Florida address) then the satellite campground in Florida remails it to your other mailbox at the "mail center" in Texas, then Texas remails the documents back to your mail back to Florida ( or wherever you are). Regular mail from friends and relatives gets mailed directly to Texas. Getting packages is another problem.
And the same satellite office happens with Escapees in South Dakota. They really should have separate "mail cebters" in each State.
Great video! We're trying to figure out our residency. Also i think theres a class actuon lawsuit on the betkey in the background… a couple we met in mexico got sick from the water in theirs and found out about the lawsuit while troubleshooting their berkey.
We're looking at doing what you did (we also live in Alabama, Mobile County) and I was curious, when you go to buy your RV and take it into Florida to get registered, how much is the yearly cost? I know Alabama can charge up to$890/year to register heavy RVs (which would be us since we are looking at deisal 40ft motorhome) but I read that Florida is fairly cheap. I used to be a resident there and already paid the "first wheels on the road" tax ($200+) so I'm hoping I won't have to pay that again!
