Excellent!!! π
This show never gets old!
Who's everyone's favorite specialist?!
A Roadshow without David Walker is like Louisville without a Slugger
Love the Roadshow! Thank you β¨οΈ
The '2021 price drops' for many of these items are just a reflection of the time this was updated… 2020, 2021 was 2 years filled with bored people cleaning their homes and flooding the on-line market (e-bay, etc). Redo the updates in a year or two when things have 'normalized' for a more realistic market value.
And of course the depreciation of even the most significant pieces of furniture generally over the past 15 – 20 years is truly horrific. The only upshot is that it's easier now to get into some of these extraordinary pieces than it has been in many decades – now is the time to buy.
Her grandfather's sister's husband's father, huh? OMG…
A catastrophic loss of value on the Roseville Fujiyama vase. Just heartbreaking.
I wouldn't have anything from Mexico.
The loss of value on the Volker painting is horrible, too. Unbelievable.
The loss of value on the van Erp lamp is probably the most egregious I've ever seen, and is truly indicative of the horrifying trend in recent years of younger people placing zero value on anything other than their disposable tech and basic necessities. Horrific. History is doomed.
I just can't watch these older episodes anymore with their exponentially diminishing values. It's absolutely horrifying.
Conversely the increase in value of the totem pole by almost TEN FOLD is at least as irritating as the loss in value of everything else.
The pedal airplane is just wonderful. How irritating that it went down in value. These things are impossible to find.
The drop in value of the Prior watch is horrifying. That's an early and significant piece.
Tell the guy who's surprising the lamp that there is no such word as heighth. It's height!
It really saddens me how hard the market has fallen for Pocket watches. They are such fantastically intricate items
12:31 He almost sounds catty.
Hugging one of the Kino twins, such a mood!π
Antique Road show β€
I say divorce that wife, but if you do now have to give her $50k from the Baseball. Ok then keep her π
I really enjoy the Vintage episodes. I play along and guess what happened to the values.
Notice that sports memorabilia rarely goes down in value?
That baby mentioned in the end should come as a return guest.
Holy totem pole Batman!
god I love this show.
44:40 She has big hands, like fists. You take the A out of Roberta and its a ROBERT!
You said it all…never give up. Prayers, positive vibes and healing thoughts all your way. A virtual hug to you.
The Cochiti Pueblo Figure ca 1895 is the one piece that moved my β₯ because to me it has a living history. That history has been damaged π’. That piece made for 25 cents ' made for the tourist trade' is a crime! The 2021 price shows you how valuable it truly is. In a just world the new owner might take a trip to that area, find the family that made it and share the win. π
I dislike that a true antique, a colonial highboy, is worth half its value, but a pokemon card could be worth 10 x's the value of a surviving colonial masterpiece.
Hope they didn't sell that totem pole! I've never seen anything increase in value like it.
I love β€οΈ this show!!!
2021 is βvintageβ? Mislabeled.
