FSA-NACD Training Session, August 21, 2023

The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), in partnership with the USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA), hosted a webinar on August 21, 2023 featuring a brief overview of FSA programs and resources. The session includes information on obtaining farm/tract numbers and eligibility determinations from FSA.

Producers will need to obtain farm/tract numbers from FSA in order to participate in NACD financial incentive programs, such as its Climate-Smart Commodities grant program. Due to the delicate and complex nature of farm and tract numbers (0:46:55), especially in regards to heir’s property and tribal lands, NACD provides this up-to-date and informative resource.

Time stamps to aid access to specific information:
0:10: Introduction
0:57: Overview of FSA programs
33:23: FSA farm loans information
46.55: Farm and tract numbers, farm records
1:21:25: Discussion on eligibility determinations, payment limitations, and adjusted gross income (AGI) requirements. Please note that this is only applicable to USDA Farm Bill programs, such as EQIP, CSP, etc. NACD will define the process for eligibility determinations for NACD financial incentives. For example, there are no AGI requirements to participate in the Climate-Smart Commodities grant program and payment limitations will vary by NACD grant program.
1:45:19: Receipt for service, outreach, and resources
