Right now, shipping services are slammed across the country as the holiday rush enters its final week. However, here in Indianapolis, people claim their packages are getting stuck at the new United States Postal Service distribution hub off Brookville Road.
For the last week, complaints have filled social media with customers asking, βWhatβs going on?β

Waaa waaaa
Minneapolis and St. Paul post office are the worst in my books. This is year round they send packages back and forth to each other and it takes days before we finally get anything. The entire postal system is screwed up!!
All those ballots slows them down.
It's because they can't get employees to stay, USPS treats employees like absolute crap
Thatβs OK theyβll just raise the rates of everything again next year. That outta fix it. ππ»
soon it will be Parcleageddon
Kentuckyβs Hub is doing this shit too!
This is Louis DeJoy PURPOSELY DESTROYING OUR POSTAL SYSTEM!! THATβs WHY HE WAS HIRED!!
ordered my package nov 24th and its still not here its went from California to Indianapolis right by my house then it sat for days then they sent it arizone then iowa then Ohio then Indianapolis again then back to ohio now its been back n forth in Indianapolis! 26 days!!!!
18 days and counting for my package.
SAME ISSUE IN MILWAUKEE RPDC AS WELL. they were on the news with the EXACT SAME ISSUES.
They have some real pieces of shit working in Indy for the USPS. Bunch of lazy crooked thief's.
Lol, well if it didn't take an act of God to get a job with the USPS they wouldn't be short staffed.
I called and was told by the representative that some updates are auto-generated and even though my package shows it was in bloomington and now in transit to next facility for 5 days (which bloomington is the final destination) that my package's last hard scan was upon arrival in Indy and that is where it is… Take it for what it's worth.
fragile packages are being dumped on the conveyor belt too.
It's being done to make usps private. bad service on purpose.
GET RID OF THIS MONEY LOOSING MONSTER,,,PRIVATIZE IT,,,WE SPENDING MORE MONEY TO KEEP IT ROLLING THAN WHAT IS PRODUCING,,WTF???
Hmm, still waiting on my package I ordered back in November to arrive even had to put out a lost package ticket hopefully it'll appear someday
I've had a package sitting there since november 19. im sure its gone forever lol
Fuck Dejoy fuck Renfoe vote No! On their shitty TA. Give carriers fair wages and this wouldnβt be happening.
We appreciate ALL the hard work of the DEDICATED Post Office employees; those who work tirelessly to get our mail and packages to us each day. So what has happened that past few years, mail is not being delivered, passports , drivers licenses, medicine, checks and other critical letters and packages, are stuck at some locations, some stolen by USPS employees; mis-delivery and so on? Locally, they are short handed and one carrier cannot handle the mail for the other carrier. Yet the rates are constantly increased but cannot find good backup employees to help with the backlog. Why should it take more than four weeks for a Respirator to come from California on Nov 5 and as of Dec 19, it has not arrived to Maine! Stuck somewhere in Texas for past 18 days, with no tracking movement. Should we have had it sent by boat? Might have been faster. Lives are at stake with these deliveries!! The supervisors , managers and Postal Inspectors can do better. We need better employees, better equipment. Need the service to be as it was in the 1950s.
Send gift cards not packages
Donβt forget about Hazelwood Mo. horrible hub also
Its the efficiency of our US Government! Typical!
We no longer mail order chickens because the Belfast Maine post office killed 3 boxes or 100 birds.
Garbage service
On top of this Amazon used to deliver with free two day shipping . The logistics is not great
Victim of this hub. All year long. They never do anything about it. They actually still have them from the summer
What a screwed up mess.
People need to stop being fucking lazy and just go to the store instead of ordering shit online, all of this would resolved if everyone just went to the store.
Typical usps bs
The USPS is underfunded due to Republican congressional mandate to prefund retirements up to 75 years. Want it privatized? Prepare to pay out the nose for package delivery's. Just one more problem that could be easily fixed if morons would quit voting for Republicans. Now we have President Musk and VP braindead Drumpf.ππππ
I cant even get on the phone with anyone π they wont send me updates or anything
From the inside as a former mail delivery contractor, I will tell WTHR that the problem is two-fold. Postmaster General DeJoy has decreed that automated equipment, and scanning technology, will replace human workers who formerly sorted the mail in sorting centers and post offices nationwide. This equipment is failing to effectively do the job, not only misrouting mail, but also damaging a lot of it beyond recovery. This includes 1st class mail, not just packages. This problem has nothing to do with a new building location, it is because the technology mandated by DeJoy cannot do the job.
The 2nd problem is DeJoy is not allowing local USPS management to hire any temporary help. I'm retired and volunteered to help short-term. They said they are under restriction not to hire temporary help. In my small town, our post office is only open 2-hours a day. One employee moves around to cover 4 post offices in the area for 2-hours in each location. But that employee is not covering any post office right now, and there is no backup personnel available to USPS management to cover for that employee, because the few employees left are all out delivering packages right now, including the POSTMASTER at a 5th class city post office! Imagine how understaffed the USPS is, when the top administrator of a small city post office must forego those duties and assist directly in delivering packages to homes and businesses.
You should press the matter further with USPS's Board of Governors. That statement you got from the USPS is total fabrication to deflect you.
Privatizing the mail sevice is NOT the answer. Fixing the USPS revenue business plan is the problem. Postage stamp prices can be lowered to make their purchase and use more affordable, simply by instituting a new fee collected for every online invoice sent out by businesses and every online bill payment sent back by the consumer, which formerly required postage stamp purchases by both sides of the transaction. Banks and credit card companies would collect the transaction fees and send the money to USPS. Payment by cash and check would be exempted from the fee, since the consumer would be paying for a 1st class stamp on their envelope sent out with payment.
…package delays at Indianapolis wouldn't be so bad…if they would just route packages to the proper destination! There's no excuse for such crappy service ANY DAY OF THE YEAR!
My wife's birthday card (from our daughter) recently took almost 2 weeks to go from one city to another WITHIN the state of Virginia. I could have walked the distance in less time. Fire DeJoy, enough is enough!
Well all the shopes have to use other shipping cowpony like ups or Fed Ex
