Commuters have been dealing with crowded trains, jam-packed platforms and long wait times since the opening of Grand Central Madison, CBS2’s John Dias reports.
Having been a former LIRR commuter for over 25 years my heart goes out to all the commuters and riders of the LIRR especially the poor souls who use the Oyster Bay branch. I can tell you folks from experience that this will only get worse. I say that because of the the fact that you have a bunch of incompetent people running things who's solution will be "we need more money" to fix the problem and politicians who go along. Maybe the money they need to fix the problem should come from the overpaid execs. who run the MTA and not from the hard working taxpayers. I also notice that senator Chuck and the governor are being silent. Of course they only ride on public transportation for the photo ops
never in my life have I heard people having as much confidence in the reliability of the subway than people complaining about the GCM walking times this week. What's making Jamaica so crowed is with the old schedule had every line during certain hours would use the same terminal (Penn or Brooklyn) so riders in lower Manhattan would choose where to go for one seat ride, for example all the non rush time Ronkamaka trains used Penn and rush used Brooklyn. Or you could just wait at home until 7:30 if you saw you would miss the 3:30
Bring back bar car’s problems solved
It seems much of all these inconvenience is done on purpose to make life miserable for many.

What they need to do hire more employees more drivers to fix this issue
They knew that grand central was almost finish they should hire more people to so it would be equal service
They should have just kept the shuttle service to GCM
Get rid of all the trains and bring back horse drawn carriages.
New Yorkers are generally frustrated regardless how things are. I'm a proud New Yorker saying this.
