Should have sold at the deadline. This has always been rebuilding team and got boosted by Cody Bellinger having an epic hot streak that could have got them a stud prospect. Jed bought up all that fools gold and now Cody is cold the team has been exposed as the mediocre team with a bad manage they've always been. Hopefully they get lucky and sneak back in or they will have set the team back years only to have the worst end of the season possible.
Lets look realistically, theyre putching Assad and Wicks every 5th day. Tailon is absolutely terrible. Theyre missing a big power bat in the middle of the order. Im shocked theyre in this position. Priority #1 is resigning bellinger.
I could not disagree more. Not 1 of the young prospects has made a difference from the sell off of our core players. We are a big market team not the KC Royals. We did the right thing with the sell off but last years team was awful. No one thought they would hold there own this year. Have to sign Bellinger or we will become the Pirates

Horrible hitting with Risp. Seems like hits all road trip long with very very little to show for it. Bad decisions by Ross. Swanson not catching a deflection right at his feet to end the extra inning game. Ross should be pissed off and making no excuses. Get in these guys faces. This is unacceptable!

I've been saying it for a few weeks now, Cody has to get hits. He carried the team for 2 months. His hitting picks the team up. They need the next 6 games or it's done. All should be winable.
It’s been a pathetic effort lately and doesn’t bode well for how the remaining games go. Not willing to invest further time and energy in this team unless and until they show some effort and get some positive vibes going again. At this rate, that may be next year.
This team averages an extra 20-25 day games more per season than the average team due to a city ordinance restricting night games. The summer heat takes a toll on the players come game 140 or so which explains their proud and well earned moniker of “completely useless by September”.
They were able to grind away a championship in 2016 due to depth, nationally televised night games which are permitted under the ordinance and a young roster who could withstand the grueling summer heat with a deep bench giving our core players rest. The competition was relatively weak in 2016. Perfect storm of circumstances.
Until that’s resolved this continuous trend of choking and ice cold September/October bats will never be resolved.
This team better spend in the offseason. I’m sick of this mid market payroll rebuilding competing cycle under the Rickets regime.

Ross waits until the wheels are coming off to move Happ to leadoff spot!..To Stubborn and to slow to make needed changes..Just having Happ at lead off. a month or two ago we probably have like 6 to 8 more wins right now!…Mad is just an average singles hitter.. he can't fill in Candy's shoes!..Wisdom or Young from Iowa were the Solution's..Young hitting over 300..Wisdom is a 40 home run guy!..But Ross sticks the very average. no power Mad at 3rd!..Madding..(Schwarber like )(Wisdom was by far. the better choice there..Young would likely have been even better..Dumb and incompetant Management probably has doomed this team..Also incompetant call ups..Mastro and PCA are useless to this team..WE NEED Hitting up here!…Young..Perlaza ..
