I love this narrator!
After this crash was investigated, most of the ATR-72s were sold to airlines in the Carribean and other warm areas that rarely have any heavy icing conditions.

Isn't the "steering wheel" actually called a yoke or something along those lines?
I find it extremely odd that the one pilot who almost crashed would use the wrong terminology.
Filing it
Every time I hear about an ATR72.I think to myself,that a lethial aircraft in the winter months.
When they test flew the ATR72 behind simulated icy condition, what was the plan if the plane also encounter the same loss of control as the crashed plane?
We put fallible humans in control of critical operations and then blame them for making mistakes, that really makes no sense
The ice build up is on the top of the wing or underneath! Isn’t the physics of flight mean lower pressure on the top of the song and higher pressure LIFTS the wing that’s underneath ?

I want to point out a mystical part about this episode. The pilot who crashed "actually said to his friend that he might die in a de-icing incident with the plane". The same situations occurs when others unwittedly prophesied about their demises. There was a famous basketball player that used to tell his friend that he wanted to die young and be immortalized. He passed away when his helicopter crashed into the mountains.
God's Word speaks that there is power in your words.
Another incident is a famous comedian Dick Gregory who lived during the racist South era. When civil rights leaders were being assassinated in the sixties Dick Gregory believed that he was going to live a long life and that God would protect him. Similarly a lesser-known leader in the civil Rights struggle was Reverend shuttlesworth in Alabama which was the flashpoint of the entire civil Rights movement his church is where they bombed four little girls. Reverend shuttlesworth was beat many times but he had faith and trust in God that God would give him a long life. Just recently Reverend shuttlesworth passed away he lived a very long life well into his 80s and he lived long past his his enemies including the famous sheriff bull O'Conner.
I encourage the reader to confess Life health and goodness over your life confessed long life and trust God's word stand-on Psalms 91st chapter which states "he that dwelleth in the secret place shall abide under the shadow of the all mighty"
I have been confessing that over my life and God kept me from hurting harm and danger even when I lived in the worstest neighborhoods I was always far from danger I would always hear about it after the fact, I was never around it.
God's work states that God will give his angels charge over thee
When you confess God's words angels are having charge over thee to keep you safe
