USPS letter carriers tell us they’re sleeping in their vehicles and bathing at union halls because they get paid poverty wages. They were promised a historic new contract this year. Instead, they were offered 1.3% raises. Now they’re revolting.

More Perfect Union’s mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means:
We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective, and we attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions.
We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power, and we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.

i refuse to listen to any person on earth complain about money with a cigarette in their hand. epitomy of hypocrit
That pay is pathetic for all of the hard work y'all do. Disgraceful to hand out 1-3 % increases, should be a minimum of 10% every year. I am heartbroken y'all are being mistreated and abused by the powers that be, it ain't right 💔
Louis DeJoy (born 1956/57[citation needed]) is an American businessman serving as the 75th U.S. postmaster general. He was appointed in May 2020 by the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Prior to the appointment, he was the founder and CEO of the logistics and freight company New Breed Logistics and was a major Republican Party donor and fundraiser for Donald Trump. DeJoy is the first postmaster general since 1992 without any previous experience in the USPS. His companies still hold active service contracts with the USPS, generating controversy over conflict of interest.
It seems like the plan is to slowly push out USPS and have olaces like UPS, Amazon, and FedEx take over.
Funny how way back in the day, when carriers were paid/treated better the price for a 1st class stamp didn't change much. Now days, the price increases are constant, guess it's all going to the investor class.
I know every since covid the male has never went back the way it was sometimes my mail don't get delivered until 7:00 sometimes later at night if I order something off the east coast and it goes through Atlanta it may take 2 months it can be 30 minutes from my house sitting there for over two weeks sometimes longer it's a bunch of bullshit when I called after covid and the lady said after she works 8 hours she has to go to the warehouse and work another 4 to 8 hours that ain't right man and they're taking shit from them it ain't like they don't got the fucking money and look how are North Carolina people in South Carolina people are being treated after the hurricane our government has their nose in our business way too much but they will take care of Outsiders before they will take care of their own fuck our government and fuck everybody that supports them
Canada Post is on strike…
Hey look it's the "Bagel Guy" from 40 Days 40 nights… 😳😳😳😳💀🤣😅💯😂
This could be a story from the Onion: "Man with face tattoo explains what's wrong with America"
lol what about the clerks dude
Mail carriers and teachers are the shittiest, most under qualified people. Fire them all and hire competent people at a better wage. Fuck the current batch of shitpig losers.
This DeJoy guy is a Trump appointee, and his wife owns a Hugh chunk of stock in UPS. I would guess he is trying to dismantle the US postal service in order to make his wife's stock more valuable.
It is sad but here I am living in a three bedroom rental condo and the cost here is covered by three people and their incomes and just enough left for food . Three incomes !
And the people screwing you just got back into the Whitehouse. Congratulations.
As a usaf vet fed jobs that hold ALOT of responsibility give pennies on the dollar to someone who flips burgers how the fk did we GET HERE? My first check i did the math and we get paid 25 cents per hour in the active military freedom isnt free but i feel robbed.
Tax cuts for billionaires/ millionaires on top of them not paying their fair share 9f taxes is really why this country is sinking. Cutting from the middle and poor ppl won't improve anything. It's a money grab by the rich. Just not right!
It is better to have and then loose it than never have it at all. Just be thankful for what you once had.
Government jobs only serve to suck money away from citizens. Anything we can do to reduce public sector employment is a great thing.
American life is sickening .
The mail does not need to be delivered 6 days a week, i mean duh!!!! Seriously 90% of the US could get mail once or twice a week.
at least u got a car to live in youre house less not homeless
What are those at the top making to sit behind a desk and provide no real effort into mail handling. It is against federal labor laws for anyone but the named person to click you in and out. Vote your union head out. There should be no secret negotiations.
Every time they raise postal rates people turn to alternative methods.
Wow that’s so sad I definitely back you postal workers thanks for bringing my mail
Privatise it. Its so obvious
Seems like Postal employees are going through what we city (NYC) employees were going through a few years ago. I pray they get a better contract real soon. Stay strong. We love you guys.
I’ve been retired from the county about 2 years now union job but anyway yup they started screwing us more work less pay and constantly trying to discipline us for basically no reasons I took early retirement before I lost my job. Best decision I’ve ever made.
This is what happens when you give republicans power. They want to kill the postal service, plain and simple. They’ve been trying for decades. Ask any postal employee which political party demanded through legislation that they fund their pensions 75 years in advance.
