A week ago, I bought a very beautiful vanity mirror for my new room. I was quite happy because it made my room look elegant and fancy. However, yesterday something unfortunate happened that gave me a mini heart attack, my mirror fell down and shattered into millions of pieces on the floor. but Instead of throwing all the mirror picess into the dustbin, I decided to turn the broken pieces into a pretty decoration on my wall. It’s a way to make something beautiful out of something broken.
I have cut a piece of cardboard into the shape of a butterfly then I measured its thickness, and covered it with strips of white paper.
Then I made some strips of clay and attached them to the sides of the base to make a thick and visible border. and colored back of the base with the the Black Acrylic.
Cutting a glass with bare hands it was very big task for me but after some practice I realized it was peace of cake
draw a line in the middle of the glass, flip it over, and slowly continue hit the cutter over the line, and in seconds, the glass is cut.
Repeat the process for the rest n create a small pieces.
Then, I arranged the mirrors in a geometrical pattern, leaving small gaps between them, and attached to the base.
White cement added some white acrylic color, Fevicol, and water. mixed them well to create a thick paste that won’t crack.
Then applied it over the project and fill the gaps property.
After grout has dried but not completely set, wipe off excess grout from the mirror surfaces with a damp sponge, taking care not to disturb the random arrangement.
