I was with her through most of this but Asuka became an 'eh' friend because she didn't literally LEAVE her job and SKIP the next day of work to come running over? I know jobs can make allowances for serious issues concerning immediate family but never heard them caring about friends, she'd lose the thing making sure she had a home and food to survive. Feel her response was a good one, telling you to go personally to the police to explain this as well. Most people I've seen play, end up distrusting Asuka but, this reason was definitely one that threw me the most lol. Enjoyed your play through though.
