You should check out the fate mod and slaybells mod, Fate is a song that was originally gonna be Lord X’s song in 2.0 before cycles took it’s place, and slaybells is a sonic.exe song that was made for the holidays, both of them are amazing songs
I think the reason that this animation and design looks better than the original is because this one obeys the laws of the design of sonic ( I sound like I’m talking about a sculpture or some shit ) Big eyes, Large feet and hands, plus the head is animated to not look like a mascot suit, which is good.
Faker boyfriends design animations and icon are basically the faker sonic one but with bf just look at both side to side.
Another difference with Facker BF is that he has long sleeves instead of short sleeves

You should check out the DDLC triple trouble mod at some point, it's really well made and their designs are pretty clever (if you played the original game you know)
