โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€“

This Story is Classified as HFY or Humanity Feck, Yea , but what does the Mean?
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
HFY is a story/series that takes a โ€œhuman elementโ€ in either humanity or an โ€œotherโ€ (race/species or object) that exists in a โ€œsettingโ€ (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanityโ€™s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Taken from the FAQ of the r/HFY subreddit.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these donโ€™t always put a positive spin on humanshumanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

  1. Great story; Excellent narration! Let's hope there are some survivors. The UHSF needs some coordinates for their next few jumps thru null space! I hope the UHF FAFO leads the charge! LOL!!!

  2. Seems more and more sf authors have been listening to Dr. Jordan Peterson.

It figures that future humans would make a star mobile to use as a weapon. However, instead of building a Nicoll-Dyson laser around it they built the Sunbeam conceived by E. E. โ€œDocโ€ Smith in the 1930s. Same effect more or less, just different tech.

  3. if the thing you think is the military is called a SECURITY force you should check if they don't have a actual military….

also that method with the pirates is genius. most people who engage in piracy are either adventure seeking nutcases or people who fell on hard times and see no way out of it. offering them a huge cash infusion and a place where to build up a proper existence WITH SUPPORT in return for not doing the thing you did out of desperation? I would not be surprised if the relapse rate was below 4% of those that took the deal ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
