Disney needs to bring back the free extra hours for all resort guests so everyone can enjoy the evenings be they paying deluxe or standard
The water park ticket is a great idea but being the first day is a bit limiting depending on the day…weather flight time what you can pack in a carryon for easy access…I know some like a slow first day but I would rather have a ticket for any day…just me but depending on hours and bus service…especially with them dropping direct transport to Typhoon Lagoon
Again leave it to DL to bring more fun and characters for a better price than WDW…so many awesome characters I would love to add to my autograph collection and what sounds like a really fun time
I hope WDW comes around one day because DL is far superior with offerings and celebrations at a fair price

I would prefer a free one day at water park on any day during my stay. We live in Indiana and it is often late afternoon by the time we get to hotel and water parks usually close around 6
I wonder if Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go Seek would actually give Disney California Adventures a run for its money, IF they were able to reimagine Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!

Random question… When Splash Mountain first opened, was the entrance to the line right next to the bridge where everyone watches the logs come down? I feel like I remember that, but I was like 10ish.
No offense, but rarely are given something for free. I am sure there is a trade off ( monetarily or other ) when given a “perk”.
It's a nice perk, but what good is it if you arrive after 4pm and the park closes at 6? It should be valid for anytime during your stay. And Magical Express needs to come back too. Come on Disney, make it worth it to stay on property again without having to stay at a Deluxe Resort.

Entrance to Disney World’s over crowded water park is not much of a benefit. We stopped going years ago because the annual pass for locals is like $100 dollars a years. It had turned into a hangout for local Orlando highschoolers and others. The wave pool is PACKED and forget about getting a beach lounger if you don’t skip the parks in the am and just run to the water park. No thanks. I’ll stick to my beautiful resort pool with resort guests
I don't even care about the transportation portion of Magical Express…the real benefit was Disney grabbing your checked luggage and bringing them to property for you so you didn't have to wait at the carousel.
Really, a ticket on the day you arrive? Not to mention only 1 park is open at a time now.
We will see if the increased cost of the hotel and park stay in 2025 offset the waterpark benefit. No offense, but it is not free if there is an counter increase to offset it.

I'm am glad to see some perks return. Parking is important to me. Would I like ALL the perks returned yes. Let's take what we can for now. 2025 is around the corner and Disney is going to have to go hard to compete with Epic Universe. Looking forward to my next US trip. 😊
I disagree about the waterpark ticket being a perk. When do most people arrive? When does the waterpark close? I'm wondering how many people will get more than an hour or so? What I would do if I wanted to use this "free" perk is add a night on to the front of my disney resort vacation at one of the Marriott Swan & Dolphin hotels or other near by less expensive ones, so that I could use it for a whole day on my check-in day. But I would also then remove a night from my Disney resort stay. So to take full advantage of this free perk, Disney would actually lose one night of my business. Not sure this is really very smart of them but I don't know all of the data. These are just things I would consider if I were Disney. I am sad that magical extrashave gone away for good. Those seem to be more of a perk. I feel like they took away my burger and gave me a little baggie of bugs.

Okay, I get it. A perk is a perk, but we’ll skip this one. Never used their water parks on any trips…even when they were included in our park hopper length of stay passes back in the 1990s. A good perk would be free lighting lane access to all attractions (including the ones that require a separate fee) for the length of your stay. If Disney seriously want my business back at the level it once was, heavy concessions will need to be made.
We are DVC members and still utilize the resorts, but have only been to three parks on three separate days since 2017. We used to go twice yearly and buy annual passes. We would spend thousands on our vacations. We’ve probably spent $3,000 on Disney between 2017 and 2023, that includes DVC dues.
Get the parks back into pristine condition (for over a decade this was not an issue), hire back all the cast members necessary to efficiently run the parks and resorts (this includes everyone that was let go due to downsizing, outsourcing, and the COVID pandemic, knock it off with the seasonal up charges, and make lightning lanes free to resort guests…maybe we’ll return to our twice yearly visits.
