wow! the Kreisler arrangement. damn good fiddling. not quite Ricci level, but really solid.. and how disgusting he could play the Brahms horn trio all by himself. i've known fiddlers who were also great pianists, but also the horn? the hardest of brass instruments? that's sick.
He was an amazing musician….not just a beautiful violinist in this flawless recording here but a fine pianist and horn player. Brahms horn trio recording in which he plays all parts!! Eric Shumsky
