FREDDY MECHA SUMMONING SEQUENCE (FNAF Security Breach as a 90s Magical Mecha Anime)

A love letter to the late 80s-90s Magical Mecha Anime genre and an excuse to try out some mecha summoning sequence in the vibe of Granzort and Wataru. I think this will fly over the heads with the current generation of kids, but if you’re a 80s kid in Asia, this is our jam.

  1. little fun fact.
Mashin Hero Wataru was localized in America under the name "Keith Courage" via its video game on the turbo graphix-16 console
it never took off and was gone into historic obscurity. you can watch this video about the history of this series short live presence in America

My childhood was trying to wake up at 5am in the morning trying to watch the anime before going off to school heh.. I usually end up waking up late and always watch the last 5mins of the anime seeing wataru doing his final attack on the episode's enemy mecha of the week..

  2. You know what? I would pay actual money for a totally not-serious anime about this. For example every mecha transformation sequence he ends up with a a part from the franchise that's wrong.

  3. You forgot to include the part of the episode clip where he was in a totally different environment before the stock summoning sequence and then popping back to the environment the shot was in before. (No, I don't expect you to animate that, I'm just adding to the joke with a stock sequence joke because, let's face it, basically all these kinds of anime had them.)

  4. Almost thought Detective Conan from the thumbnail. They're protagonist boys with special watches, but the similarity ends there. Shows what little I know! Gigarock Freddie sequence was cool though. Also nostalgic.

  5. Kinda reminds me of Gaigaigar.
When Freddy has finished forming you can even hear Galeon roaring though that could be a real lion.
And is it just me or does the voice sound like Gai only it is mostly nonsense he is saying?

  6. What was the ending music from? It sounds vaguely like the Reyearth theme, but not entirely sure. Either way this definitely fits the super robot vibe, and that title card gave me some major Gaogaigar/Mightgaine vibes!

  7. This animation is amazing! Sadly, I can't enjoy anything FNAF knowing it's owned by a guy who unapologetically donates loads of cash to bigots and extremists. Just feels like "hey, some portion of this game's success will support people trying to remove human rights and oppress minorities." He could have been donating to charities and doing good, but instead he wants to support hate. At least another studio is presumably making most of the money from this one. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
