  1. Can someone explain to me how Calgar's Honour Guard can tank shots for the Aggresors that Calgar is attached to? At my FLGS they insist damage is assigned to the bodyguard unit first, which is the Aggresors, not the Honour Guard. Is there an FAQ somewhere that explains this?

  2. i really wish they'd un-nerf ironstorm, for me at least it just killed any desire to play it after the strat nerf, i was even fine with the enhancement nerfs even if imo they need to be way cheaper now.

    what about making a shooting heavy list with 3 squads of scouts to jump around, infiltrate for objectives and general OC. 6 inceptors to drop and contest objectives – pull them back into reseverves for 1 cp

    Then have incursors with a phobos librarian infiltrate with the enhancement and buff+1 to hit for the artillery

    stormspeeder thunderstrike shooting for +1 to wound

    rest of the list is shooting, pew pew, boom boom

The librarian + infiltrators combo is absolutely lethal against grey knights – I run dark angels and try to play thematic lists over optimal lists , but one day I felt tired of losing to my buddy’s grey knights so I countered as hard as possible. The screen keeping my deployment zone (on hammer and anvil) safe allowed a firestrike servo turret finish off a dreadknight on overwatch. I just threw it in as a meme pick since my “theme” was vehicles and deep strike denial…

Just a thought because I am testing it, a full brick of reivers with grav-chutes led by the phobos lieutenant (the normal one…the one with the combi…the one without the skull mask as well…the one with 2 knifes!) taking their carbines for Gladius. While not an omega level damage unit, it is 20 shots out to 24" for a unit that can deep strike baked in with no further support and gimmicks required. Precision also enables utility in being able to focus all of that firepower into a character hiding within a unit that you want dead which may be conferring powerful buffs that make the unit harder to handle.
    Also, that lieutenants secondary buff is a "shoot and scoot" ability that moves the unit D6" which is really nice, but the real kicker is that it DOESN'T stop you charging. You could deep strike that squad in, fire at a unit, scoot D6" towards the unit you stayed just out of 9" from and now at Minimum you have turned a 9" charge into a 8" charge, with the average being about a 6" charge. Quite powerful to be able to consistently threaten a homefield holding unit, and does actually mean if the unit can deep strike outside of a denial aura (like infiltrators), you can always go for the hail mary charge even on a bad scoot roll when normally that unit may be unasailable.

    Edit: after looking at it more and cross-referencing the internet, I’m pretty sure that’s an old scout sniper. Silhouette is uncanny!

  8. I woke my roommate up when I laughed at the Eradicators. Sure they're good units…but Drukhari Scourges can take 4 Melta weapons/squad and have St14 Ap-4 at the same range and melta(2) with better movement.

    Where are my fellow Deldar mains?
